"Sonny, buy dill! He's from my garden. " How the grandmothers cheat and deceive us

For several years now, my family and I have been living in the suburbs. A little more than 10 kilometers separates us from the noisy city. Over the years of living in our own house, we managed to make acquaintance with our neighbors. Naturally, we know which of them do what and how they make a living.

As in many villages and townships, people survive on their plots. Some build greenhouses to grow flowers for sale. Others raise animals by selling fresh meat, milk and eggs. Still others are engaged in the cultivation of vegetables, fruits and herbs.

Lives in our neighborhood granny - "God's dandelion". And even though she looks kind and naive, in reality she is a real businessman, acting with not entirely honest methods. On her site, she grows greens, and then successfully sells them on the market.

It seems nothing ordinary. But I was somewhat confused, because in our area the greenery grows less actively. When we have parsley only the third time, my grandmother is already harvesting 10 crops!

Every week she prepares fresh bundles for sale. On weekends, the neighbor goes to the market with the product, returning empty-handed. Well, greens can't grow that fast!

It turns out that the old woman's husband, after harvesting a new crop, digs up the beds and water them abundantly with some kind of chemical a composition that stimulates the growth of parsley, dill, celery, etc. They water the greens twice a day: in the morning and evenings. After three days, seedlings appear on their site.

Having cut the harvest, the old people feed the soil with ammonium nitrate and superphosphate. After a few days, they will repeat the feeding procedure. After about a month, they plant the greens in a different order, alternating crops that belong to different families. Parsley is replaced with salad, salad with basil, etc.

The main difference between fresh greens is its bright color, juicy stems and leaves. For this, our neighbors use biostimulants, the chemistry of which is simply off scale. They water their area with these substances every week.

Gullible buyers buy greens from "God's dandelion", thinking that they are natural and without chemicals. In fact, the purchased products are far from environmentally friendly. With the regular use of chemicals in food, the soil will inevitably begin to deplete. Agriculture may simply decline over the years.

I hope that not all grandmothers who trade in the market go to such tricks. But this is impossible to verify. It remains to either buy greens and vegetables from familiar gardeners, or grow everything with your own hands.
