5. The emptiness in the center

One of the reasons why it can be uncomfortable in a particular room is the wrong arrangement of furniture. If the center of the room is empty, it may look too bare and uninhabited. Therefore, you should not line up all the furniture along the walls. It is better to use it to indicate functional areas, especially in large rooms or combined kitchen-living rooms.

Create a focal point - for example, group upholstered furniture around a coffee table, or give a central place to the dining table.

4. Lack of places to stay

For those who live alone, one sofa may be enough, but for a large family it is clearly not enough. To make each of its members comfortable, it is better to enlist the support of upholstered furniture, an armchair or a pouf.

It will also save in the event of the arrival of guests. In a small apartment, you can use a window sill. Expanding it and adding pillows makes it a great seating area.

3. Bare walls

Often there is a situation when the walls in the apartment remain almost empty. Such a solution will definitely not add comfort. After the completion of the repair work, the question of additional decor does not immediately arise, and later sometimes they completely forget about it. Meanwhile, it is not difficult to solve this problem, it is enough to purchase a couple of accent paintings or posters.

You can also create decor with your own hands, for example, dry plants and place them in a frame under glass. Another solution is to use plants, for example, a hanging planter or a panel made of stabilized moss.

2. Ill-conceived lighting

Another common reason for an uncomfortable interior is the lack of lighting scenarios. Of course, this issue should be thought over even at the stage of rough finishing in order to avoid peeking wires or gouging walls. Ideally, each functional area should be highlighted, preferably on several levels. For example, general lighting and illumination of the work surface in the kitchen.

It is also important to ensure that there is always enough light in the apartment. Fluorescent lamps or avoiding curtains will help, and use dimmers to adjust the light intensity. More radical options are associated with a loggia, which, as a rule, takes up to 30% of the light. You can attach it to the apartment or replace the usual glazing with French. However, such redevelopment is not possible everywhere.

1. Scarce color palette

Monochrome interiors that are misplaced can be boring. The apartment should have a variety of colors. If the wallpaper on the walls, curtains and bedspread are the same color, they will simply merge together. Even if you prefer monochrome, you need to play with shades.

To make the design more dynamic, you can add contrasting details and be sure to diversify the set of textures - for example, alternate wallpaper with plaster panels or wooden slats.
