There is a greenhouse on almost every garden plot. With its help, an excellent harvest of many crops is obtained. In order for the structure to last as long as possible, it requires some care.

Greenhouse preliminary preparation

Special attention is paid to the processing of the greenhouse in the autumn season. Before preserving it before the cold weather, a number of activities are carried out:

  • thoroughly remove all plant residues;
  • remove shrub holders and other supports;
  • dismantle paths and bed limiters.

For the summer season, light is supplied to some structures, sensors are connected, thermometers, an irrigation system, and temperature regulators are installed. Before processing the greenhouse, it is de-energized, the sensors are removed and put into a dry room.

Flushing and drying the irrigation system

Some gardeners equip indoor ground with an irrigation system. It must be properly prepared for the winter cold:

  1. The pipes are disinfected and dried. Phosphoric acid or a special preparation "Pekacid" is used. Its analogs are also suitable. The solution is filled into the system and left for 4 hours. Then rinse thoroughly with a strong pressure. Then the pipes are allowed to dry out.
  2. Then the compressor is connected and the irrigation system is blown through until water drops are completely removed.

The procedure is started without waiting for the first frost - from mid-October to mid-November.

If there are containers with water in the greenhouse, they are also emptied and disinfected with a similar solution. Then they are dried.

Drip tapes are removed and stored in a dry place.

Soil preparation

Since the soil in the greenhouse is actively used, it gradually loses its nutritional properties. Some gardeners recommend removing 35 cm of the soil layer, and then, after disinfecting the structure, bring in fresh. It is enough to carry out the procedure once every 3 years.

If the event cannot be carried out, they proceed to resuscitation:

  1. The soil is disinfected with biological preparations. They suppress pathogens, heal the soil. These include: "Fitoverm", "Fitosporin", "Baktofit", "Trichoderma Verte". The selected agent is used in accordance with the instructions. They are introduced into the soil, deepening by 10 cm. The procedure is carried out 14 days before the onset of frost.
  1. A deep two-level digging is carried out. For each 1 m2 take up to 45 kg of compost or rotted manure.
  2. Thoroughly shed the earth, using drugs that accelerate humification and decomposition of plant residues.

Also, warm compost beds are built in the greenhouse:

  1. Dig trenches 30 cm deep.
  2. A layer of fresh manure 25 cm thick is applied.
  3. A layer of plant residues.
  4. Priming.
  5. Ready compost.

Warm beds decompose even in winter. In the spring, seedlings of vegetable crops are planted on them in the early stages. Thus, the soil is saturated with the necessary nutrients, the harvest is obtained 14 days earlier than the usual method.

If the structure was freed from plants at the beginning of September, green manures are sown inside:

  • oats;
  • oil radish;
  • mustard.

The green mass is mowed just before the very cold weather and is buried for digging.

Fertilization

In the autumn, complex formulations are used. Particular attention is paid to potassium and phosphorus.

For 1 m2 of indoor ground use:

  • superphosphate - 45 g;
  • potassium salt - 25 g;
  • potassium sulfate - 25 g.

The granules are evenly distributed, then carefully spilled with soft, settled water. So the fertilizer will be absorbed into the soil faster.

Disinfection of the frame

An event that gets special attention. Since the greenhouse has high humidity and temperature, an optimal microclimate is created for the appearance and spread of fungal diseases and insect pests. To avoid contamination of plants, the greenhouse is thoroughly washed and decontaminated.

Use a solution of laundry soap with the addition of copper and iron sulfate.

An effective means of disinfecting the structure is a sulfur checker, which is lit inside. The greenhouse is then thoroughly ventilated.

If the frame is made of wood, it is sprayed and painted with a special antiseptic solution. Particular attention is paid to joints and crevices.

Proper preparation of the greenhouse in the autumn is the key to healthy plants and a good harvest for the next season.
