When summer begins, many tend to leave the dusty and stuffy city for a summer residence. Indeed, the silence, fresh air, birdsong - all this is very relaxing. But disputes and wars with neighbors can darken the dacha idyll. This is exactly what happened with me.
When the plots are different, the fence between them is considered to be common. Here we are with a neighbor and quarreled over the old fence. I suggested replacing it, making a new one from corrugated board. And the neighbor insisted that the construction should be made cheaper and the netting should be used.
In addition, weeds have become a stumbling block. The neighbor began to accuse me of "my weeds" climbing over the fence into his area.
We have several raspberry bushes growing next to the fence. She, like weeds, has grown and began to encroach on the neighboring territory. To prevent the neighbor from raising the storm and because of this, I had to move the bushes to another place.
Naturally, there were reproaches on my part as well. A neighbor began to store slate, old boards, bricks near the fence. Also, I have repeatedly found his cigarette butts on my site. Plus, in the fall, he picks apples from a tree growing on my site, some branches of which hang over the fence.
We argued for a long time. Fortunately, I managed to find a clever way about which I today I will tell you too.
First, let's talk about the rules
When building a solid fence, its height should not exceed 75 centimeters. If the fence is not deaf, then this indicator doubles - up to 1.5 meters. If you want to make a higher fence, then you need to get permission from your neighbor.
It is possible to increase the height of the fence to 2.2 meters using a lattice or materials that transmit light. In order to somehow hide the view, you can let climbing plants along the net.
If the fence is already too old and needs to be replaced, but the neighbor does not want to change it, then even the court will not help.
What way out did I find
You can build a new fence while keeping the old one. I had just such a situation that my neighbor did not want to demolish the old building. Our fence was made of mesh, which did not suit me extremely, because the neighbors calmly watched us, and it was almost impossible to hide.
I thought - I thought and came to this decision: to build not a fence, but some kind of structure. I stepped back from the old structure about 1 meter. I will note that my site is not small, so one meter is not a pity for the sake of a good cause.
It turns out that the old mesh fence has not gone anywhere, which means that there can be no complaints against me. I built a solid fence from a professional sheet. The advantage is that my neighbor won't be able to complain to me that the fence shades his area and does not provide adequate ventilation. There are no such norms in the law, therefore it will be rather difficult to prove anything!
