You will laugh, but I bought the seventh mower. :)
However, this is the first self-propelled and the first gas-powered mower that I come across.

For two years I have been successfully using the Makita DLM380 (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/1147297.html). But it is good when the grass is short.

I missed a moment when the grass grew so that the cordless mower could no longer cope with it. And it's not just the lack of power, but also the fact that the mower is quite difficult to push on tall grass.

Looking sadly at the unmown grass, for the sake of interest I decided to see how much self-propelled mowers are today and immediately came across sale: the Hammer KMT100ST gasoline self-propelled mower was sold for 11,600 rubles (for a self-propelled gasoline self-propelled mower this is very cheap). I read the reviews and decided to take it.

"Self-propelled" is of course a thing! The entire section was mowed in less than an hour.

Tall grass is almost nothing to her. It only mows and rushes forward itself! :)

There are several nuances.

The mower has no clutch - the knife sits directly on the engine shaft, therefore, in order to empty the grass out of the box, the engine has to be turned off, and then started again by pulling the handle. Productivity wow, so when the grass is high, a 45 liter basket fills up in a minute. I don’t know how bad it is for the engine that they shut it down and start it up once a minute. Again, I don’t know if the more expensive mowers have a clutch.

Today I went to the barn where the mower is, and it smells of gasoline. This appears to be a fatal side effect of using a gas powered tool.

This mower has one speed of movement, while the more expensive ones have several. I was worried that it would be inconvenient, but no, the mower goes exactly as fast as it should. Not too fast and not too slow.

It is more convenient to remove and put on the container on the left, and the handle, which you need to pull to start, is on the right. It turns out constant running around the mower.

The mower is made as simple as possible, because of this it does not have any "frills", such as a tap that cuts off gasoline.

It is impossible to see how much gasoline is left, it is also poured "by eye".

The mower must not be tilted (for example, to clean grass) - gasoline begins to drip through the hole in the tank cap.

The engine sound is much quieter than I expected. Mowing without headphones is quite comfortable.

The gasoline engine is of course a fuss - first fill up the oil, then change it after 5 hours, then change it every year. And every time there is no certainty that it will start. :)

The mower is controlled by two handles. The top turns the engine on and off. The lower one turns on and off the movement of the mower.

To start the mower, you need to press the handle with one hand and pull the cable with the other.

A candle sticks out in front on the left, a red suction button on the right.

Bottom view. The size of the knife and, accordingly, the mowing width is 42 cm.

Cutting height adjustment knob (up to 75 mm). Everything is metallic and that's good.

Grass exhaust outlet.

Grass collector. It is more or less convenient to pour out the grass, it can be easily installed and removed, it is attached to two plastic hooks (oh, I'm afraid they might break).

The mower with the box installed (I hold the cover open with my hand so that the fastening can be seen).

A huge plus of this mower is self-propelledness. This really allows you to spend much less effort on mowing, especially if the site is uneven. High power is also a definite plus.

The main disadvantage is that when used with a body, the engine constantly has to be turned off and started again. Probably the main mode of operation for such a mower is without a body, when the grass is simply poured onto the ground.

In general, I am satisfied with the purchase, but I thought about how great it would be to make the battery mower self-propelled. I'm thinking, maybe I can try to attach wheels from a small gyro scooter to it. ;)

P.S. Evolution of my mowers:

1. ~ 1999 Small Bosch trimmer (has been idle in the barn for fifteen years);
2. ~ 2005 Very unsuccessful OleoMac trimmer (also still lying around in the barn);
3. ~ 2006 Power trimmer Gauge with line and disc (used when needed);
4. ~ 2006 Bosch Rotak 37 trolley mower (sold to a neighbor this year);
5. 2019 Cordless mower Makita DLM380;
6. 2020 Cordless Trimmer Makita DUR181RF (
