Greetings, dear subscribers and guests of our channel!

For a long time we were struggling with one problem: we could not get rid of the weeds that grew between the tiles in our summer cottage. Not only did they spoil the appearance of the tiles, they also increased the risk of soil swelling.

At first we just pulled them out, weeded the seams. However, this effect was short-lived. After one or two weeks, everything was repeated.

We looked at various ways to combat the grass and identified several effective, simple, and cheap methods. Now I am sharing my knowledge with you too!

Since we were tired of weeding the grass several times a month, we decided to treat the tiles with some means. We didn't want to buy aggressive chemicals, so we started looking for other solutions.

We liked 3 ways. The first two gave approximately the same result, and the third saved us from weeds for a longer period.

1 way

The cheapest and easiest. You need to take ordinary boiling water and pour it over all the seams between the tiles.

Vegetation does not tolerate high temperatures and quickly dies. After treating the tiles with boiling water, you can safely pick up dull weeds. They will start growing again in a couple of weeks.

2 way

Pretty basic too. Coca-Cola should be used to spill the seams between the tiles. This drink is quite aggressive and kills weeds. A 2-liter bottle of cola costs 100 - 150 rubles. It is enough to process several running meters.

Vegetation between the tiles does not appear longer than after boiling water treatment, but the method is more costly. In addition, after the cola, the tiles must be rinsed with plain water.

Method 3 is the most effective

You can make a weed-damaging mixture with your own hands. The effect of the application will last for several months or even the entire season. To prepare the mixture, you will need:

  • 700 milliliters of water;
  • 300 milliliters of vinegar;
  • 3 large spoons of salt.
Mix all this and pour it into a spray bottle or watering can. Moisten the seams liberally with the mixture. After a couple of days, remove the remaining weeds.

To make the mixture more viscous, you can add dishwashing detergent to the mixture. Thanks to this, the solution does not evaporate so quickly from the surface.
