Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of my channel!
An incredibly large number of owners already use factory sliding gates, and in general, this type of gate is probably the most convenient. Indeed, with the help of such gates, you can block a span of 8-10 meters, and accordingly this allows you to make a very wide entrance for several cars.
The second plus is that sliding gates save space in front of the entrance because they move sideways along the fence. In some cases, it is very convenient when a car can drive up close to the gate and it will not interfere when opening it.
But, such a design has a very big disadvantage - the cost. For one 4-meter sash WITHOUT automation, you need to pay at least 100 thousand rubles. And this is very expensive!
In this article, I want to show a very reliable and budgetary version of the gate, made by my own hands, more precisely by the hands of my friend :-)))
The sliding sash has a height of 1.8 m and covers a span of 3.8 m. The frame is made of a metal tube of rectangular cross-section 60x80 with a wall thickness of 4 mm.
The structure is sheathed with a profiled sheet. It is closed from the inside with a conventional lock, which is threaded into the holes of the lugs, one of which is welded to the support post, and the second to the collar.
The sliding sash runs between two support pillars, which are firmly connected to each other. For beauty, they are welded with two rotary corners at 90 degrees.
In the upper part of the supports, rollers are installed so that the sash does not tilt to one side. The rubber wheels on both sides abut against the upper profile tube of the collar frame.
At the moment, the sash is rolled back manually. A 70 mm corner is used as a guide rail, which is located under the sash.
The corner is attached to the road surface. The sash itself moves along the guide by means of two gate metal rollers.
To prevent the collar from collapsing when closed and holding the vertical, a nest is made in the upper part of the fence, into which the sash falls when closed.
All rubbing parts are lubricated with graphite grease or lithol three times a year.
I believe that this is a very budgetary and worthy option for the implementation of sliding gates. A friend made a gate last year and paid 14,600 rubles for the material. At current prices, the cost of one such sash will be no more than 30,000 rubles.
I really liked this design of the sliding sash, so I took note of the gate.
I hope this article was useful to you!
Thank you for the attention!
