Goblet

Occurs in May-June. Orange spots appear on the underside of the leaf, which gradually turn into red growths (shaped like small glasses). The upper side of the leaf turns yellow, the plate is deformed, the shoots dry up. The berries are covered with a white bloom (not edible).

Columnar

Occurs in the summer-autumn period. Outside, the leaf is covered with light yellow spots in the form of a mosaic. On the inside, the plate is strewn with small yellow specks (freckles) which gradually degenerate into brown papillary growths. Rust affects ovaries, branches, trunk.

(including juniper). For development goblet rust sedge and marsh plants are needed. Spores of the fungus are carried by the wind, insect pests (spider mites, aphids, currant gall midge). The parasitic fungus winters well in fallen leaves. High humidity is a contributing factor for the onset of the disease.

Fungus spores flying in the wind can make a person sick.
