  • Sep 06, 2021

Hey! My name is Pavel Foteev, deputy director of the film company. I am fond of interior design and independentlydesigned his 54 m² two-room apartment in an ordinary "Khrushchev" building. In the interior, he combined different stylistic directions to create an eclectic space with an individual design.

  • total area: 54 m²
  • A place: Moscow
  • House type: "Khrushchev"
  • Number of rooms: 2
  • Who lives here: Man
  • Budget: 2.6 million rubles
  • The author of the project: Pavel Foteev

Planning before and after

Before redevelopment. The apartment was originally a three-room apartment. Most of the partitions were non-load-bearing, so the space was completely re-formatted.
After redevelopment. As a result, the living space looks much more spacious than it actually is. Most of it, 30 m², was allocated for a public area - a living room with an entrance hall, a bedroom with an isolated dressing room and a small kitchen were also equipped. On the floor in the entire apartment, except for the bathroom, there is Soviet parquet. It was looped and filled in the gaps that appeared after the dismantling of the partitions. The walls in the residential areas were covered with paint, and the historical masonry was preserved on the load-bearing fences.

Living room

The soft group was placed on the carpet, with its help, the boundaries of the functional zone were marked. The picture on the wall opposite is actually Samsung's interior TV The Frame. The background image can be changed depending on the mood.

After renovation. An unusual solution was the use of sliding shutters. They issued an exit to the balcony. The working area was marked with an arch made of oak timber. The wall behind the writing desk was faced with an aged pine board. The metal shelf and loft-style lamp are perfectly combined with the rough wood texture.

Kitchen

The doorway leading to the kitchen was widened and decorated with oak beams. In order not to close it with a door, the gas stove was replaced with an electric one. The linear set was completed with white Scandinavian-style facades. Narrowed-down appliances - an oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator - helped provide ample storage space.

Bedroom

The bedroom was slightly enlarged during the redevelopment to accommodate the bed comfortably. The wall behind the headboard was sheathed with laminate and complemented with macrame decor. A vintage mirror with a curbstone brought more eclecticism to the interior.

Hallway

The entrance hall is combined with the living room. A teak hanger and bench with a rough wood texture adds authenticity to the space. The place of the standard wardrobe at the entrance was taken by a vintage wardrobe, wicker baskets and an old suitcase were placed on top of it.

Bathroom

In the decoration of the bathroom, they combined paint, porcelain stoneware under aged wood and white tiles of various formats. The room was increased due to the corridor. Thanks to this, it was possible to equip a large shower room, one of its internal walls was decorated with a mirror cloth instead of tiles.
