I bought a rechargeable flashlight for 89 rubles 68 kopecks in the "Traffic Light" superdiscounter and, for the sake of curiosity, studied how it works, and at the same time measured the parameters of its light.
The flashlight has two levels of brightness and is charged from the mains. The fork pins extend from the back. You cannot plug it into a standard outlet, you need an extension cord and an adapter with a flat outlet.
Like most cheap flashlights, this one has a small bright spot in the center and a halo around. However, for economic purposes in the country it is quite suitable.
Even a tree about ten meters away was able to illuminate.
I was surprised that the instructions said that the flashlight uses a lead-acid battery. What is your association with the term "lead-acid" battery? Something big and heavy, like a car battery or a UPS battery? Me too, so I doubted the veracity of the instructions and disassembled the lantern. And there really is something black and rectangular, like a tiny lead-acid battery.
Board and battery.
Bottom view.
On the end of the battery is written "Junchi 225".
You can find such batteries on Aliexpress (for example, here), but they stand there, like two such lanterns. The specified parameters are 4 V 1200 mAh.
Measured the parameters of the light of the lantern. The light is very "cold" - 12000K. Surprisingly, the color rendering index was already 84 (I expected it to be less than 70).
The flashlight gives about 20 lumens at maximum brightness and about 11 lumens at reduced brightness. It seems that this is very small, but in fact it is quite enough for dacha and economic purposes.
I doubt that this lantern will live long, but for 89 rubles it’s not a pity even if it dies in a year. Let's see how long it will last.
