1. CZ 75
Many do not even know, but the Czech Republic has a rather powerful arms industry. And even from the time before the Second World War. In 1975, the country made one of the most popular self-loading pistols among the employees of special services - "Chizet-75". Initially, weapons under the caliber 9x19 mm Parabellum were used only by the ATS countries. However, later the Czechs began to sell this pistol all over the world. Even Americans buy it. In the Czech Republic itself, the CZ 75 is mainly used by the police and intelligence.
2. M&P Smith & Wesson
A young but extremely popular semi-automatic pistol chambered for the .22 LR.380 ACP. Created M&P was a no-nonsense company in 2005. It was made specifically for the needs of the American police and the army, which is directly evidenced by the name of this weapon. Lightweight and convenient with a 17-round magazine, this pistol is a formidable weapon at distances of up to 50 meters. The nice addition is that the M&P can be tuned to suit a wide variety of shooter needs. In addition to the USA, it is widely used in South Korea and Belgium.
3. SIG Sauer P226
Swiss-German pistol, which was developed in the early 1980s specifically for the American army. Then it was assumed that the P226 will completely replace the "old man" M1911. In the end, this did not happen, but the 226th, chambered for 9 × 19 mm, still found its niche. The pistol is very popular with American and European special forces. As is the case with the younger M&P, SIG Sauer's creation can be hung with just some monstrous amount of accessories.
4. Glock 17
There are a lot of stories about Glock pistols. Most of what is said about him can be divided into three. However, all this does not change the fact that the "Glock" is perhaps the most successful pistol in the world. the last 30 years: convenient, lightweight, compact, lethal, with a wide potential for modernization and tuning. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the 17th is a true living legend, a weapon that should be looked up to when developing.

5. Colt M1911
It would be a terrible omission and unthinkable blasphemy not to recall yet another "legend" and "veteran" of the short-barreled weapon market. This is, of course, the American Colt M1911 pistol, which is more than a century old. Despite this circumstance, the pistol is still in service. Officially, the M1911 is now nowhere in service, but privately, this weapon chambered for .45 ACP is still used by the US Army, special services, and even the police.
