Layout

The kitchen was moved to the living room to make room for two separate bedrooms. This scenario was realized due to the fact that the apartment is on the first floor. The area of housing was increased due to the mezzanine floor, on which an additional sleeping place was equipped.

Living room

The living room was decorated in a dark gray color scheme. The dial on the wall behind the sofa was stenciled, a nod to London's Big Ben. The capital of Great Britain and its colorful double-decker buses and telephone booths are also reminiscent of the red accents.

There is brickwork on the walls in the kitchen-living room and other rooms; it was found under a layer of old finishes and was restored by updating the grout at the seams. The high cornice is also part of the historic decoration.
From the living room, a spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine floor. A metal mesh was used as a fence. The false window in this area is actually a transom.

Kitchen

The kitchen set was divided into two parts - the working area with wall cabinets was moved to the brick wall, and the cases with the appliances were lined up perpendicularly. The apron was treated with clear varnish to protect the brick from water and dirt.

The place of the dining table was taken by a bar counter on metal supports.

Bedroom

Light gray paint was used to decorate the walls and ceiling in the bedroom. An unusual solution was the decor from a metal mesh.

Storage systems were built around the doorway. Wooden jalousie facades of the wardrobes added a warm touch to the restrained interior.

Children

The nursery is located on the site of the former kitchen, so the gas pipes from the stove have been preserved here. They were wrapped with jute rope to integrate harmoniously into the interior. The brick walls were painted with white paint.

To place the bed in the center of the room, the niche in the wall had to be closed with a wooden rack.
A workplace was set up opposite the entrance. Almost all furniture and accessories were purchased from IKEA.

Hallway

A storage system was placed in the hallway, into which a washing machine was built. This solution made it possible to free up space in the bathroom. The metal body and mesh are reminiscent of the fencing of the mezzanine floor and the decor of the walls in the bedroom.

Bathroom

During the dismantling of the old finish, a window was found that was hidden behind a partition. This helped not only let in natural light into the room, but also put the sink - in order to mount it, the window sill was extended. Most of the walls were decorated with white hog tiles.
