6. Glass partition
The simplest solution is to make at least one of the partitions glass. So the light will come into the room from the adjacent room, which has windows. Usually such partitions have a metal frame.
You can choose any kind of de-glass, depending on the style of the interior. To maintain privacy, make the glass frosted and use a curtain. You can also build a wall of glass blocks.
5. Fake window
Another common technique is to install a fake window. It is enough to supplement the blind partition with a glass insert. To make the imitation more realistic, you can equip such a "window" with shutters, they are now especially popular.
Another example of a fake window is a backlit stained glass window. It can be positioned both on the wall and on the ceiling. For installation, use a metal, wooden or plasterboard frame. The downside is that you have to sacrifice a little either the area of the room or the height of the ceiling.
4. Virtual window
Virtual windows are liquid crystal or LCD panels that are attached to the wall. You can control the image via a computer or smartphone.
The pioneer in this area is Roomality. The holographic window of its production will allow you to enjoy the sunset, find yourself in the forest or even on the moon at any time. Special equipment like VR helmets or VR glasses is not required. The main difference from similar models is that the image is not static like on TV. Two cameras above the screen use artificial intelligence to track the position of the user's eyes and adjust the contents of the display in accordance with the position of the person, that is, the picture in the "window" will move, adjusting to of the beholder.
Unfortunately, it is not yet known when the products will become available to the mass user.
3. Mirrors
Mirrors help to visually enlarge the space of the room and double the amount of light in it. This property is indispensable for a room without a window. In the absence of natural light, at least artificial light will suffice. An excellent solution would be a mirror panel.
You can also create the illusion of a window opening using mirrors with deviated frames. You can mount the product on a flat wall surface.
2. Aquarium
A built-in aquarium will be an unusual solution. The backlight in it will always be on due to the lack of sunlight. A bright live picture with fish and plants will help compensate for the absence of a window opening.

Another way to "cut through the window" is to use wallpaper. Particularly noteworthy are products that imitate the view from a panoramic window, glass blocks or, for example, Japanese shoji paper doors. To make the picture look more natural, it is better to additionally highlight the wall.
