In an uncomfortable position, I unscrew the water meter nuts, having previously shut off the water. And somehow, while carrying out the manipulations, he touched the metal sink with one hand ...
Felt unpleasant, to put it mildly. I jumped out from under the shelf instantly.

Is that what I heard?: Not so much, just a little hiss and that's it!
Hmm, thank God that he stayed alive. The application for the replacement of water meters was postponed to another day. In the end, she brought in an electrician who found the cause of the electric current leak. According to the landlady of the apartment, a wire was punched to the body in the old washing machine. And since there is no grounding in the sockets, people were in the role of the grounding conductor.
So, if there is electricity on the sink, then this means that you or your neighbors in the riser have a faulty household appliance that is leaking electricity. It's dangerous to live with this. Call an electrician, resolve the issue.
Why does the sink smell like sewage?
If all the frets are with the siphon under the sink, then the cause of the smell is the overflow, provided in the case of uncontrolled filling of the sink with water. How do you tell?

Solution. Remove the tube (be prepared for a strong smell), rinse, shorten it so that it is slightly taut. And for prevention, sometimes pour a little detergent and cleaning agent into the overflow.
Why does the shell gurgle, "grunt"
Sometimes, while relaxing at home, for example on the couch, a voice from "Narnia" is heard. Oink, oink, oink. Or Gurgling from the kitchen sink. What is it? And this is a faulty sewage system in your apartment building. Someone drains water from the toilet into a common sewer riser, and during this movement of the liquid, a vacuum is created over the entire area of the pipes. In places where the liquid level in the water locks is small, there is a suction of liquid from the siphons. And this liquid creates a squelch that is carried throughout the apartment. This process is called "water seal breakdown". After this phenomenon, odors may penetrate into your apartment.
What to do? You call the plumber, you sound the sounds of the sink gurgling to him: "Oink, oink, oink". After that, the plumber in high spirits will go up to the attic, knock the ice "cap" off the fan pipe or clean it from the blockage. The pig's voice will no longer appear.
