Previously, I always cleaned the pump, accumulator and all the pipes of the country water supply for the winter. This year I decided to do something differently, making a "light version" of water supply.
My water is taken from a well, the depth of which is only 2.5 meters. In the summer, a powerful MAC ALLISTER MWPP1100 pump from the deceased Castorama (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/1068785.html), it is connected through a check valve and a filter to a hydraulic accumulator and a pressure switch.
In the fall, all this can freeze and burst, if all the water is not drained. I thought that for the spring-autumn it is possible to make the simplest system with a minimum of elements from which every time, when I leave the cottage, you can completely drain the water, and when I return in a few seconds, run in work.
For such use, one small pump is enough and nothing else. When opening the tap, the pump must be turned on, when closing it must be turned off. Maybe not very convenient, but without unnecessary details.
To begin with, I tried using a cheap unnamed 400 W centrifugal pump with a head of 6.5 m (pressure 0.65 atm).
It gives quite a decent flow of water after a 10-meter HDPE pipe of 25 mm, laid in the ground to the house.
Quite normal flow and after the next 7-meter HDPE pipe 20 mm, fixed on the facade of the house.
But from the tap in the kitchen (this is another 4 meters HDPE 20, a check valve, 16 metal-plastic and a storage water heater), alas, water does not flow.
I had to put the good old rusty "Kid" 230 W, which is already twenty years old.
Instead of a check valve, a filter, a hydraulic accumulator, a pressure switch and a bunch of pipes, there is now a quick-disconnect connection and nothing else.
To control the pump in the shed, there is an outlet with a radio remote control, and the remote control is at home in the kitchen next to the sink. It completely "finishes off" and works.
The water pressure is sufficient. The water from the system is completely drained by opening three taps and disconnecting the hose from the mains with a quick-disconnect connection.
I am a little confused by the "Kid" in the well. It is believed that its vibration is very harmful for the well - the soil behind the rings may crumble, and there is even a danger of the lower ring "falling". On the other hand, it will be used very little and not for long. Ideally, put some small pump that gives at least 1.5 atmospheres, but I can't find one yet.
I am also worried that the pump can be forgotten to turn off and it, poor man, will hum and squeeze in the well. It would be nice to find or make a device that turns on the pump for 30 seconds when you press a radio button.
So far I have only found here is such a set for 600 rubles, which can turn on the load for 15 seconds by pressing a button.
I also found a set with a round button for 710 rubles, which can turn on for 20 seconds.
If you come across radio control systems that turn on for 30 or 45 seconds, please let us know!
Such a primitive water supply system is inconvenient with constant use (you need to turn on / off the pump remote control), but it is simple and more suitable for use in autumn and spring than systems with automation and hydroaccumulator.
