Having tested these batteries, I was very surprised. At the lowest price, they outperformed all top Duracell, Energizer and Varta batteries in terms of capacity and load capacity.
At the end of last year, three types of alkaline batteries of the own brand Auchan appeared in Auchan stores.
Using a chemical current source analyzer Yarostanmash ASK2.5.10.8 I tested the batteries from the first batch (release date 10.2020) and compared them with top-end batteries from well-known brands. Two copies of each type of battery were tested, tests were carried out in June 2021.
To test the capacity and load capacity, the batteries were discharged in two modes:
- discharge with a current of 100 mA to 0.7 V. The test shows what maximum energy the battery can give;
- discharge with equivalent resistance 3.9 Ohm to 0.9 V for AA and 5.1 Ohm to 0.9 V for AAA. This test shows how well batteries are suitable for powerful loads (toys with motors, blood pressure monitors and other medical equipment).
For comparison, I took the most expensive batteries from the four leading brands - Duracell, Energizer, GP and Varta, as well as cheap Flarx batteries from Fix Price stores.
Two copies of each type of battery were tested. The diagrams show the average capacity in mWh.

The results are, of course, amazing. Auchan High Performance AA batteries beat all expensive batteries, Auchan High Performance AAA ended up in second place after GP Ultra Plus, but they only lag behind by 1%, and stand five times cheaper.
It often happens that the first batch is better than the next, so I bought Auchan High batteries again Performance at the end of September, with AAA batteries on sale with release date 04.2021 and AA batteries with dates 01.2021 and 04.2021. Apparently, these are the second and third parties.
The doubts were confirmed: the batteries are different, but not much.
There is an assumption that Auchan High Performance from the first batch is Pairdeer Premium Alkaline.
By the way, apparently, Photon X, who broke all records (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/1264097.html), they are the same.
Now most likely Auchan High Performance is Pairdeer Ultra Alkaline and these are also excellent batteries.
In addition to their large capacity and load capacity, these batteries have leakage protection.
I will give all the measurement results for both copies of each battery model.

The prices for batteries in Auchan are constantly changing slightly, in addition, the price for one battery depends on packaging (there are packs of 2, 4, 8, 10 and 40 batteries), and in stores there are always different ones packaging. Considering that the difference in price between the three types of new Ashan batteries is very small (and sometimes Alkaline is sold even more expensive than High Performance), it is better to buy High Performance.
Today Auchan High Performance is not only the best batteries in terms of price-quality ratio, but also batteries included in the TOP-5 of all alkaline batteries that can be found on sale.
