I think many of you will agree that life is bad without a drill, because it is impossible to make the right holes in the right amount.

Even worse, when the drill itself is present and operational, there is a complete set of drills, and drill key lost and it takes a huge amount of time to find it, and the result of the search is far from obvious.

You will never lose the key from the drill now! Simple trick
In order for such a situation with the key to stop arising in principle, I have one simple, but 100% reliable trick in store. When using this method of storing the key, all problems disappear forever.

By the way, before, without further ado, I simply tied the key with electrical tape to the cord through which the electric current enters the drill. As practice has shown, this method has at least two disadvantages:

  • the electrical tape lost its properties over time and required replacement;
  • current-carrying conductors in a wire risk breaking from multiple bends, and this is a serious nuisance that threatens a short circuit.

Therefore, another method of storing the key was developed and put into effect, in which there are absolutely no drawbacks at all. True, you have to work a little with the same drill.

The idea is as follows.

  • 1. A drill for metal, for example 3.5 mm, is taken, charged into the drill and a hole is drilled in the key. It is better to drill closer to the handle, since there is more room for this. Also, when choosing this place, it will be more convenient to use the key.
  • 2. A steel ring is taken, which is used to store keys. They are sold in any store, but if it is not nearby, then the ring can be removed from the toy or keychain.
  • 3. We pass the key and wire into the ring.
A little trick: the ring should not dangle too loosely on the wire. A matter of habit, of course. In this matter, everyone can choose their own option.

Time has shown that it is extremely convenient to use this storage method.

  • First, the drill key won't go anywhere by default.
  • Secondly, when twisting (unscrewing) the cartridge, the ring fits comfortably between the fingers and does not interfere with the process.

Thirdly, the bending of the wire in this case does not reach critical angles and, importantly, each case falls not on the same section of the wire, but on different ones.
