I, like most middle-aged citizens of our country, was born in a village. By the way, there were no communal amenities in the house at that time. There was water in the next street, there was no gas, the toilet was in the yard.
Today I continue to live in my own house and now I have everything, electricity, water and gas. But the toilet remained outside the dwelling, in the yard. This, of course, causes some inconvenience, especially pumping out the sump. Not only does this need to be done often enough, plus up to 12 thousand rubles a year is spent on sewage works.
Recently, one very clever person suggested to me the technology of cleaning a cesspool for much less money. I hasten to share with interested persons this, as they say now, life hack.
The trouble is that septic tanks require constant cleaning. Over the course of several years, I have tried a lot of ways to prevent this - I bought all kinds of granules, bacteria, solvents, and so on. The labels on the packages assured me that the use of these miracles would remove any contamination one or two times. Nothing of the kind, even double doses do not help. It was necessary to wash the wells with water from a hose, but even here it was not possible to achieve a sufficiently effective result.
The bacteria found in septic tanks process the particulate matter. In the process of processing, a rather viscous sludge is formed, which stops the flow of liquid, blocking the holes intended for this. The blockage is so strong that the container ceases to fulfill its functional tasks.
In order to clean up such a pit, the relevant organizations offer their services, and for quite good money, up to 5,000 rubles. They work well, efficiently, after them it is required to pump out the hole much less often.
The advice of an experienced sewer operator is to wash out the sludge residue in the pit without calling for special support forces. And for much less money.
The algorithm of actions is as follows:
- the contents are pumped out of the pit;
- when the bottom of the pit is exposed, the sewer cuts the pump to the drain mode;
- the drains return to the pit under high pressure;
- The sludge at the bottom is easily broken under such a load.
Generally speaking, when performing this procedure, vague doubts crept in me about whether the bottom of the pit would withstand? A solid residue rose from the bottom, debris, petrified veins. The stench was such that it was just right to put on a gas mask (by the way, the idea stuck). After that, the flusher bequeathed the pumping mode and all the garbage went to the tank.
A specialist asked for 500 rubles for this case, that is, ten times less than professionals from a special organization. Drainage has improved dramatically, and the number of beneficial bacteria has increased dramatically.
Since then, I have been doing 2 pumps a year, 2-3 times less often than before.
