At first glance, it seems that there is nothing difficult in hanging the router exactly on the wall or making a hole in the tile. If there is a tool and all the necessary materials, then what's so difficult, beginners think. But the router is suspended crookedly, the crown quickly breaks, and debris after drilling is littered with the entire workshop. And the whole point is in the little tricks that the masters develop as they gain experience. We've put together a selection of helpful tips for beginners when doing housework or workshop work.
1. How to "modernize" a bag so that the top does not "collapse"
It is convenient to pack the garbage remaining after repair work in bags, but collecting is not very good, since the soft neck does not hold its shape. But there is a very simple way to fix the neck and make cleaning easier. To do this, you need some old, no longer needed plastic container. For example, it can be a bucket or a basin. A strip about 15-20 centimeters wide and equal to the width of the bag is cut from the side of the container. The cut piece is sanded around the edges, smoothing out sharp edges so that they do not accidentally damage the skin. Then the treated strip is inserted into the neck of the bag. It will fix the upper part, preventing it from "collapsing", and it will be much more convenient to collect garbage.
2. How to cool a bit without stopping drilling
During the drilling process, both the crown and the tile get very hot, therefore the place of impact must be cooled by adding water. In order not to be interrupted for wetting, you can use a simple trick with foam rubber. A piece is cut out of the soft filler, repeating the shape and size of the crown. It is inserted into a nozzle and soaked in water. Now, when drilling, the foam will shrink and release moisture, cooling both the crown and the tile.
3. How to drill without contaminating everything
Dust is inevitable when working with a hammer drill or drill. Of course, it is removed simply with a vacuum cleaner or an ordinary broom. But you can reduce the amount of debris in the premises and make it easier to clean up after work with a simple tool. You only need a tee for a sewer with a branch angle of 45 degrees. The end of the fitting is cut to the junction of the main and outgoing sockets, and grinded. The cut end is leaned against the wall at the drilling site, the vacuum cleaner hose is connected to the branch, and the tool drill is inserted into the straight socket. Now the debris generated during drilling will immediately be sucked into the vacuum cleaner.

5. How to make a magnetic miter box
To cut material at a certain angle, a miter box is usually used to prevent skewing. However, a magazine tool has such a disadvantage as the backlash in the grooves that arises over time. Due to the cuts, they gradually expand, and the hacksaw begins to dangle in them. But in the overwhelming majority of cases, the workpieces are sawn at right angles and for such situations you can make a simple miter box yourself. For the craft, you will need two planks and several small magnets. On the side of one of the wooden planks, mark the middle and prick the marks at an equal distance from each other. At these points, small recesses are drilled and magnets are glued there so that they do not protrude above the surface. Then the ends of the boards are connected perpendicular to each other and fixed with self-tapping screws. The resulting device helps to cut the workpieces evenly - magnets hold the hacksaw blade in a strictly vertical position.
Useful advice from Novate.ru: Magnets of all sizes are good helpers for any craftsman. For example, small magnets can be glued to a screwdriver bit or screwdriver blade. After this "improvement" the tool will hold the fasteners, and they will not get lost in the process. And metal shavings can be quickly removed by wrapping a large magnet in a plastic bag and then turning it inside out.

6. How to drill a hole in a tile without slipping
On smooth tiles, it can be difficult to make a hole in a precisely marked place due to the slipping of the drill. Masking tape will also help out here. A piece of tape is glued to the tile and that's it, there won't be any more difficulties. This simple trick creates grip and the drill does not slip on a smooth ceramic surface.

7. How to hammer in a nail without splitting the bar
It is not difficult to hammer a nail into a piece of wood, but quite often it happens that the bar breaks, and the closer to the edge, the greater the chance of such an unpleasant outcome. This is due to the fact that the sharp end of the nail acts as a "splitter", pushing the wood fibers apart. The easiest way to avoid splitting the plank is to nibble or blunt the end of the nail. Despite the seeming illogicality, the technique is effective. A dull nail does not push apart, but crushes the wood fibers, so the bar remains intact.
Namely this must be added to the concrete so that cracks do not appear in it.
