This heater-convector is not on the manufacturer's website, there is no information anywhere on the Internet about what type of heating element it has, there are almost no reviews for it. And yet I ventured to buy it.
I needed an inexpensive kilowatt convector, preferably with half power mode.
At first I aimed at the Ballu Camino Eco Turbo for 3000 rubles, but it has no wall mount, no rollers (only legs) and only one power mode. But supposedly super-duper monolithic heating element Hedgehog and a three-year warranty.
In the process of studying what covectors are, I came across Thermex Spot 1000M with two types of mounts, two power levels, monolithic heater X-Prof (we managed to find out only by looking at photographs of packaging on the Internet) and the same three-year a guarantee.
Looks like Spot is produced specifically for M.Video / Eldorado and is only sold there. For 1000M, the price is 3490 rubles, but who in these stores buys something for the indicated price? :) In the M.Video application, they gave 500 bonuses, I had some other bonuses, as a result, the convector cost me 2,284 rubles.
On the box and sticker is the X-Prof heating element, apparently no different from the Ballu's Hedgehog.
Here it is visible behind the air intake slots at the bottom of the heater.
The body of the heater is metal, but there is a plastic insert at the back in the upper left corner.
It contains two handles and an indicator of the heater operation. The lower knob turns on the heater and allows you to select one of two powers. Upper - thermostat adjustment.
The legs are equipped with casters, a set for wall mounting is included.
With a mains voltage of 218 volts at maximum power, the convector consumes 865 watts.
This means that at 230V, which is the nominal voltage for most heaters, it will draw 964W. At half power and 220 V mains voltage, the convector consumes 437 W.
At full power, the maximum case temperature (center top above the air outlet slots) is 105 degrees. This, of course, is a bit too much (for my summer cottage Siemens convectors, which, alas, are no longer produced, no more than 83 degrees).
Like most convectors, there was an odor when first turned on, but it disappeared after half an hour of operation.
The convector heats up very quickly and does not make any sounds, except for the quiet clicks of the thermostat.
In general, I am still satisfied with this convector and I think that for 2284 rubles this is perhaps the best choice. I have only one complaint about this heater - the temperature of the case is too high (I think this is a fee for a small size - the dacha Siemens is one and a half times more).
