Not all summer residents have extensive areas. But there is no need to worry about this. There are several techniques with which you can visually expand the territory. We will talk about this now.
First rule
Avoid planting tall trees or large bushes around the edges of your garden area. Powerful, sturdy crops interfere with an extensive view, blocking out most of the space, and also prevent the penetration of sunlight into this area. But if you like large plants and can't do without them, plant such crops in the backyard of your garden.
Second rule
In case you have a long-standing dream of having a large garden, try planting trees near your home. You can use them to surround a building or to land on one side of a building. Do not make the main element of the site out of the garden; it will be better if you move it aside from all buildings.
Third rule
The asymmetrical lawn and the division of the area into zones make the space larger. Don't want to plant a lawn in your yard? You can zone the area using tiles of different shapes. Geometric shapes in the form of squares, triangles, circles are also excellent garden design elements that can visually enlarge the space.
Fourth rule
Try not to overload the central part of the site, leave it more open. The presence of sculptures, fountains or huge flower arrangements on the territory makes a small space look even smaller. It is best to leave more "air" in the center so that the space does not look cluttered.
Fifth rule
For a small garden area, trees with branches extending upward are suitable. Crops with a fluffy, broad crown will hide a significant amount of space. And if there is not enough space on the local area, it is better to plant a "coniferous pyramid" than a weeping willow.
Sixth rule
Try to ennoble the site by planting dwarf trees or bushes - compact crops growing in the corners of the territory will give the impression of a smaller version of a large garden. A similar method can help in expanding the space, but do not overdo it. Since dwarf trees can also "weigh down" any house adjoining area.
Seventh rule
Decide on a center point for your garden area that reflects your overall style. If you manage to concentrate people's views on the main main subject, then the surrounding area will visually look more spacious. As such an accent, you can use a neat flower bed, a colorful decorative object or a small sculpture of an original shape. And in this case, do not overdo it, because for a small garden, decorations of the same size should also be used.
Try to use these rules and you will understand that they work. Any small area can be turned into a larger one with a few tricks. Use your own design talent and you can handle it yourself.
