7. Neutral colors
Unlike the Scandinavian style, japandi offers a wider palette of colors for interior decoration. The walls do not have to be white: brown, beige or milky shades are used, which can be correlated with natural materials - linen, cotton, clay, sand.
Gray is less common, mostly as accents. Muted greens, pinks and blues can be seen in upholstery, textiles and decor.

Japandi gravitates towards simple forms in furniture and decor. He avoids intricate designs or elaborate accessories - an oval vase, a square table, a rectangular island in the kitchen.
Japandi adopted this laconicism and asceticism from both styles, on the basis of which it was formed.

Low furniture came to japandi from Japanese interiors. According to Eastern standards, the distance from the bottom edge of the object to the floor should vary between 20-40 cm.
This applies to upholstered furniture, as well as all kinds of coffee and coffee tables. This solution will help to visually raise the ceiling and retain more air, which is important for small apartments.

In japandi, first of all, natural materials are used - wood and stone. It is worth taking a closer look at bamboo armchairs, rattan baskets and cabinet furniture with sackcloth facades. A minimum of plastic and chipboard.
The same goes for textiles: jute carpets, cotton bedding and linen throw pillow covers. Fabrics, as a rule, are monochromatic, they "play" due to the texture.

Japandi adopted Japanese pedantry, so every thing in the interior should be in its place.
Everything that remains in plain sight is stowed away in boxes, containers and baskets to avoid visual noise. And no clutter in the cupboards: all items are neatly arranged on the shelves.
