A way to modernize a double-circuit boiler so that hot water flows immediately and there is no contrast shower

A single-circuit boiler working for heating and preparing hot water through a massive boiler is an excellent solution, but expensive and inconvenient for small rooms.

The double-circuit boiler heats up the heating and prepares hot water supply, ideal for small budgets. But you have to pay for the savings by overspending cold water while you spill water into the sewer (10-20 seconds) and taking a contrast shower when drawing from two or more points. We talked about this system earlier, here.

But it turns out that it is possible to solve the problem of cold water, in hot water, at the beginning of the boiler operation and prevent temperature drops at high flow rates by two or more points. No, not by installing a huge boiler, although it is possible, even necessary.

In any case, I recommend using an indirect heating boiler and a single-circuit boiler, but if you have a double-circuit a boiler installed due to ignorance of possible inconveniences, or due to savings, then this life hack is for you.

Solving the problem of a double-circuit boiler

In order to get rid of all the disadvantages of the above equipment, you can use an electric water heater (boiler). It should be embedded in the hot water supply, as close as possible to consumers.

What does this upgrade give?

First, at the start of consumption, hot water immediately begins to flow from the electric water heater, unlike gas. That is, an electric water heater in this case serves as a storage device for hot water. In addition, the thermal insulation of the boiler allows the finished water to stay cool for a long time. And TEN maintains the temperature of the liquid. In such an arrangement, the heating element will naturally consume electricity for heating, this is a minus. And so that it turns on less often, you should set the temperature on the gas boiler to 45 degrees. And in the boiler there is 40. In addition, it is advisable to insulate the hot water supply pipes so as not to heat the air and walls with them. In the event of a breakdown of gas equipment, you will always have hot water, an electric boiler will heat the water for the duration of the repair.

In short, the comfort from the consumption of hot water will increase than simply when a double-circuit boiler is operating.

Important note

Once a month, the storage boiler should be warmed up to a temperature of 60-65 degrees in order to remove pathogens from it.
