Monochrome interior and not an ounce of visual noise: how a designer designed a 58 m² euro-apartment in Moscow

Designer Alena Gerasimova designed a 58 m² euro-apartment for a young couple. Customers permanently live outside the city, the apartment is intended for temporary visits. They wanted the interior to be completely free of any visual noise and only use minimalistic decor.

Layout

The planning solution is a euro-suite with a combined kitchen-living room and an isolated bedroom, in which there was a place for a voluminous storage system. The interior was made in monochrome colors.

Living room

The living room area was outlined with a carpet; it was additionally designated with a deeper ceiling level. Light walls were decorated with moldings, their symmetrical arrangement refers to neoclassical interiors.

The folding sofa was made to order. Next to him, at the window, a tall mirror sheet was fixed, which allows more natural light to enter the room.
A TV area was located opposite. The glossy black top of the TV cabinet echoes the LCD screen.
The role of accents is played by metal elements - a chandelier on the ceiling and a set of coffee tables.

Kitchen

The kitchen unit was placed in a niche. Only golden handles give out the white fronts of the cabinets in the color of the walls. Large format porcelain stoneware was chosen for finishing the apron. It can also be seen on the section of the wall adjacent to the kitchen island.

Bedroom

The entire space of the room was divided into two zones - a bedroom and a dressing room. A partition made of pivoting mirror panels acts as a zoning element. When they are facing the bed, the room appears larger.

Hallway

A system of built-in wardrobes from floor to ceiling was placed in the hallway. Their facades merge with the walls, visually dissolving in space. A washing machine was hidden in one of the sections.

Bathroom

The bathroom was decorated in light colors; marble-like porcelain stoneware was used in the decoration. The vanity unit was placed in a niche formed by a box with communications and a high cabinet. The wall behind it was decorated with a large-format mirror, it helps to visually expand the boundaries of the room.
