However, the picture does not always correspond to reality. So plastic siding, although it looks attractive, has a lot of disadvantages. The main advantage of this material is its low cost. Perhaps, in terms of cost, it ranks second after the whitewashing of the walls.
By the way, I want to note that the attractiveness of siding disappears if you start looking at it closer. This material does not bear any protective properties, it is rather difficult to mount it on the wall, and you can hardly call it environmentally friendly siding.
That's how I found a bunch of flaws right off the bat. But why, then, is he so popular?
I'm telling you! If the siding house is insured, it can be rebuilt cheaply. The buildings that are shown to us from TV screens are not capital. These are frame-panel structures, akin to sheds and chicken coops.
Naturally, you can comfortably settle in such a house, but this is only at the very beginning. Over the years, it will deteriorate, damage. Unlike stone buildings, it can be quickly restored, and all expenses will be covered by the insurance company.
If you dig a little deeper, you can come to the conclusion that many Americans and Europeans do not have the ability to build wooden or stone houses.
Three years ago, I was visited by an old acquaintance who has been living abroad for many years. When he saw that all the houses in the village were made of wood or stone, he was quite surprised. And we are talking not only about one-storey buildings, but also 2, 3 and even 4-storey buildings. My friend suggested that our village is intended for wealthy citizens, otherwise where did ordinary people get so much money for construction?
I told with a smile that ordinary hard workers with an average income live next door to me. But my friend didn't even believe me right away.
It should be noted that America has a milder climate compared to Russia. Therefore, the siding does not fail after a couple of years, but lasts longer. The main thing is to regularly wash the exterior trim so that it does not lose its attractive appearance. This can be done with a hose. Be that as it may, after a few years of operation, the material will begin to deteriorate and will need to be repaired or replaced.
In America, they still continue to sheathe houses with siding, which cannot be said about Canada and Europe. There they almost completely abandoned this material, explaining their decision by the non-environmental friendliness of siding.
And this is indeed true, but only partial. Chlorine and oil are used in the siding production process. If European countries are rich in chlorine, then they do not have enough oil. To fill this gap, Europeans turn to Arabs and Russians for help.
Of course, Europe is not happy with this. In order not to ask for more help, the local government has set a course for the widespread use of renewable materials such as stone, iron, fiber cement, etc.
