Tomato is a rather capricious culture. However, for all the time that I have been growing it in my summer cottage, I have identified several unpretentious varieties. For example, White filling. I want to tell you about it in more detail.
Description of the variety White filling
The unpretentious, low-growing plant is excellent for growing in open ground or temporary film shelters. The variety is early ripe - no more than 100 days pass from the appearance of the first shoots to full ripening.
The bush reaches a height of only 0.4 m, medium leafy. Another advantage, which I have singled out for myself, is that it does not require pinching. As soon as it reaches the maximum height, I recommend tying it to a support.
To speed up the ripening of the crop, I advise you to remove the stepsons to the first flower brush.
The leaves of the White filling are large, dark green and slightly corrugated. Inflorescences are of the simple and intermediate types. Each cluster ripens from 3 to 6 fruits.
Tomatoes have a flat-round shape. The skin is thin and smooth, the flesh is firm and juicy. At the stage of biological maturity, they acquire a deep red color. The taste is sweet, the aroma is rich.
Another undeniable advantage is that tomatoes do not crack and must be transported.
I use the crop fresh, as well as for juices, sauces and preservation.
Subject to all the rules of agricultural technology, I managed to collect 8 kg of excellent fruits from 1 m2 - this is a good yield for early varieties.
Advantages of the variety
So, for the entire time of growing White filling, I have highlighted the following advantages:
- Stable harvest in all weather conditions.
- The fruiting period is quite long.
- High resistance to cracking.
- To be transported.
- Excellent taste.
However, to fully enjoy the benefits of this variety, I recommend sticking to the growing guidelines.
Landing features
I grow tomatoes in seedlings, and White filling is no exception. I start sowing about 55 days before the expected date of transplantation to a permanent place.
At the stage of two real sheets, I make a pick.
I choose a sunny place for landing, protected from strong gusts of wind. The soil for growing tomatoes must be fertile.
I plant no more than 5 plants per 1 m2 of plot.
If there is a threat of recurrent frosts, I set arcs over the garden bed, on which I stretch agrofibre, this helps to protect young plants from low temperatures.
Care
The main care for a tomato White filling is as follows:
- timely watering;
- top dressing;
- prevention of various diseases.
Watering
At moderate temperatures, I do it no more than 2 times in 7 days. I use soft, warm, well-settled water.
In hot weather daily watering is recommended. The procedure is carried out exclusively in the early morning hours or late in the evening. I use the sprinkling method.
Top dressing
I carry it out after watering so that the roots absorb nutrients faster. I alternate between organic and mineral compounds.
Disease prevention
The disadvantage of White filling is that it has low resistance to phytosporosis. As a preventive measure, watering is carried out exclusively at the root, I remove the lower leaves.
So, the variety White filling conquered me with its unpretentiousness in care. At the same time, it gives an early harvest with high palatability. From the fruits, I prepare fresh salads, juices, canning - small round bright red tomatoes look great in a jar.
