General characteristics of the variety

The Connie F1 hybrid is considered an early variety. You can harvest the first harvest of ripe cucumbers in a little less than two months from the moment of full sprouting.

In terms of cultivation, the variety is universal, it can be planted both in greenhouses and in open ground. The cylindrical fruits ripen very juicy and crispy. The pulp is completely devoid of bitterness. The average weight of one cucumber is within 80 grams.

One of the main advantages of the variety is the absence of the risk of overgrowth. Even if you are a little late in harvesting, cucumbers will not lose their qualities.

Regardless of the weather conditions, plants perfectly form ovaries, so you are guaranteed a rich harvest.

Another indisputable advantage of Connie F1 is its good natural immunity and resistance to powdery mildew and rot, from which cucumbers so often suffer.

Landing features

As I said, the hybrid can be grown both outdoors and in a greenhouse. Depending on the climatic conditions of the region, cucumbers can be grown through seedlings or by seeds.

To get a decent harvest, it is important to follow a number of simple rules:

  • for planting, it is worth choosing areas with a sufficient amount of sunlight. However, it is better that part of the plant remains in a slight shade;
  • when growing a variety, the rule of crop rotation should be strictly observed and cucumbers should not be planted on the same beds for several seasons in a row. The best precursors for cucumbers are tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, or legumes;
  • regardless of whether you grow through seedlings or seeds, it is worth planting a variety in open beds or in a greenhouse only when the threat of night frosts has passed. By the time of planting, the soil should warm up to at least 12 degrees;
  • so that the bushes grow and develop well, and also do not experience a deficiency of nutrients, the number of plants per square of plantings should not exceed two copies;
  • the beds for planting should be prepared in advance, having previously removed at least 30 centimeters of a layer of old earth, after which the space must be filled with a mixture of sawdust, peat and straw. Next, a layer of humus and manure, and the last - a layer of old earth, which we removed earlier. Before returning the layer to its place, the soil must be loosened and cleaned of weed roots.

How to care for a hybrid outdoors

If you are growing Connie F1, the plant should be cared for as follows:

  • be sure to protect from the winds and take care of branching. This can be done using special tapestries;
  • cucumbers need daily systematic watering, especially when the fruits begin to form;
  • so that a crust does not form on the ground, which prevents air exchange, it is advisable to weed the beds at least once a week.

Features of greenhouse care

The main things to take care of in the greenhouse:

  • Maintaining optimal temperature and air exchange. It is advisable to systematically ventilate the greenhouse so that the plants are not too hot.
  • Humidity mode. The variety loves high humidity. The optimal indicator is over 90%. If the humidity is insufficient, it can be corrected by spraying or watering.
  • It is worth watering greenhouse plants only with settled warm water. Watering frequency depends on the weather. If it's hot outside, you should water it at least twice a week. Waterlogging of the soil is also unfavorable for the plant, as is the lack of moisture.
  • Loosening the soil so that the root system can fully receive moisture.

Growing Connie F1 is easy, even a novice gardener can handle it. Follow simple conditions of care, and the plants will respond with a rich harvest of delicious fruits.
