If we compare Soviet and modern films about the Second World War, then you can immediately see a significant difference not in favor of the latter. Somewhere this is due to the quality, the approach to writing the script and, in general, to filming, somewhere with the fact that the actors of the past years themselves went through the military path as soldiers or children of war. In any case, films made during the Soviet era, you want to watch again and again, even if you know them practically by heart. Nothing of the kind can be said about modern "masterpieces", at least most of them. Of course, there are pleasant exceptions, but basically there are much more drawbacks and glitches.
What's wrong with modern films
In fact, a lot of things in the films about the Great Patriotic War filmed now do not correspond to reality at all. Many shortcomings and inconsistencies are evident almost immediately.
War is always a tragedy. And the appearance of the heroes, especially at the front, is far from perfect. On the screen, we see well-groomed girls with gentle hands, who obviously resorted to the services of plastic surgeons and cosmetologists. In any case, many of them clearly show fake lips, and other parts are clearly silicone. Men in military uniform also do not look like emaciated soldiers tired in battles. Naturally, it is difficult to think about the plot, and indeed to believe in the reality of what is happening.
Super heroes in films are also not credible. Getting into serious trouble, practically a meat grinder, for some reason the heroes not only stay alive, but there are no scratches on them. Moreover, they casually take an officer of the German army prisoner, having time to interrogate him in perfect German.
There are practically no dialogues. Naturally, the heroes speak in modern war films, but in most cases their conversations do not carry a special semantic load and are not remembered by the audience. And if you recall, for example, the film They Fought for the Motherland, then even just listening to it, without seeing the picture, you can clearly imagine what is happening on the screen. It was in the dialogues that all the value was.
Flawless appearance. Probably, each of us more than once noted the unnatural cleanliness and condition of the form of the soldiers who spend weeks on end in the trenches. Despite the field conditions, their clothes remain not only clean, but also ironed. And some soldiers generally look like they visited a barbershop a couple of days ago.
Most of the films about the war are shot in the genre of action films, which does not fit in with what was filmed and shown in Soviet times. And the actions on the screen are far from real events. Very often, representatives of the enemy army are shown as noble and even kind uncles who do not want to fight and find themselves in a war under duress. It's stupid to argue, there were some, but such persons, especially among the officers, were not met very often.
Often, modern films of this genre lack musical accompaniment. Namely, the song helped people at the front, and it gives the film a special touch. The film strip is perceived in a completely different way.
The vocabulary is clearly lame. Actors in films speak the language of our time and words and phrases typical of the forties of the last century are very rarely used.
An NKVD officer who arranges lynching on one of the heroes is present in almost all films. And this is especially the focus of attention, although in fact, the emphasis should be on somewhat different events.

And these are not all moments. There is no need to mention awards and military uniforms at all. They do not even try to understand what and how should be done in order to portray everything correctly. Not many people want to re-watch such films.
