At first glance, it may seem that everything is expensive in METRO Cash & Carry stores, but knowing the tricks of this chain, much can be bought there much cheaper than in any other stores.
The main trick of METRO is that everything is based on continuous sales. Every week, many different products are sold at a slightly lower price than in other stores. For example, today there was a discount on all fish, on Finnish Fazer sweets, on "Bird's milk" cakes and so on.
But that's not all. 20% of the purchase price can be paid with bonuses, so if there are bonuses, the price on the price tag is reduced by another 20% (the main thing is not to forget at the checkout to tell them to write off the bonuses). This affects everything except tobacco and alcohol.
There are several ways where to get these bonuses. The easiest one is to create a new card. Officially, the card can only be received by those who did not have a card before, but in fact, the card can be received on any mobile phone and email, which previously did not receive a card. I think it's still not good to issue a lot of cards for myself, but getting cards for relatives, children, parents is a sacred thing. :)
When you receive a new card, they give 3000 bonuses, but with a catch.
Within a day after the issue of the card, 500 bonuses are given. They are valid for 30 days. If during this time you make any purchase and spend bonuses (to "buy" all 500, the check should be for 2500 rubles, but no one forces you to spend everything at once). Within a day after the first purchase, another 500 bonuses will be credited, they must be spent within 14 days. After the second purchase, 500 bonuses will be credited again, which will be valid for another 14 days. If bonuses are spent on everything, they will be added up.
And where are the 1500 promised bonuses, the most attentive will ask. And they are given separately only for online orders. There is a similar system: first you need to enter the promotional code "1500RUB" in the application and they will give 500 rubles a discount for the first order from 2500 rubles, then another 500 for the second order, then the last 500 for the third.
A new card can be obtained by filling out the form at the link https://cards.metro-cc.ru/acqp? card_no = 400097168004 (referral link, it gives me all the same bonuses). The map can be stored in the Metro application (the remainder of the bonuses is also visible there). The physical map is not needed for a long time.
The second way to get bonuses is by inviting friends and relatives. For each, 500 bonuses are given, but you can only receive them if you are a METRO customer for more than 30 days. The invitation link is generated on this page: https://chd.metro-cc.ru/app/friends/. The life of bonuses is 30 days, so it's better to invite relatives gradually. :)
The third way to get bonuses is that Metro sometimes distributes them just like that: a letter comes to the mail with a proposal to activate the bonuses.
As for goods with white price tags, sometimes they have good prices, but for this you need to buy them in bulk quantities (sometimes 3, sometimes 10, and sometimes 26 goods with one barcode). This is how I buy cat food - even with a white price tag, when buying a box, taking into account bonuses, it turns out cheaper than in any other store.
If you don't like METRO, you just don't know how to cook it. :)
