Extra expansion tank
Often, inexperienced or cunning installers install an additional expansion tank in the system at the expense of the owner, supposedly for the correct operation of the equipment. Usually, wall-mounted boilers already have a 6-8 liter expansion tank, designed to increase the volume of the system's coolant by 100-140 liters. Therefore, you need to know how much liquid you have in registers, pipes and equipment and make a start from this, whether you need an additional tank. And not indiscriminately trust the installers.
Additional pump in heating
Sometimes, in order to earn more at the facility or trying to push the coolant into distant radiators that "for some reason" do not work, due to miscalculation or illiteracy of the "shabashnik," they put an additional pump in the "clamped" system to the one already in the boiler. Thus, they are trying to increase the consumption, but such specialists often do not know that the series-connected circulators almost do not increase the flow required by them, useless "entertainment" at the expense of the owner Houses.
Extra security groups
Above, I said that usually wall-mounted boilers already have expansion tanks and an additional external one is not always needed. The same is with the safety group, they are already available in wall-mounted boilers and the additional installation of such fittings is not always justified. But if you already have an extra safety valve installed, check that it is installed correctly. Namely, its installation should be at the boiler supply without installed shut-off valves.
Extra filters
Sometimes installers, on purpose or unknowingly, install extra mud filters, especially if there are additional equipment (pumps, boiler). But in fact, only one filtering device is needed at the boiler inlet to protect the heat exchanger and the pump impeller from mechanical impurities. In addition, each filter must be equipped with two shut-off valves for maintenance (cleaning) without draining the coolant.
Extra hydraulic arrow
Sometimes installers or sellers of heating equipment, under any circumstances, whether it is necessary or not, strongly suggest the installation of an expensive low loss header. In most houses, especially if you only have a radiator heating network at home or even have a connection for underfloor heating, then you do not need a hydraulic arrow. And in other cases, if there are additional circuits in addition to radiators and underfloor heating, such as a pool, ventilation, a free-standing bathhouse, a guest house and other consumers, with different temperature modes of operation, then you need a high-quality payment. Only after that a decision is made to install a hydraulic separator.
