About a year ago, I worked on a lighting installation team at a large state-owned enterprise. Then I had to work hard, I came home like a "squeezed lemon". After that work, I involuntarily began to pay attention to the lighting devices that surround me in everyday life.
In between work, my colleagues and I discussed who uses which lamps at home. It turned out that many guys from the brigade only use incandescent bulbs. I was surprised because at that time I had mostly LED lamps at home. Then I decided to compare which type of lighting has the most advantages. As a result, over time I got rid of all the LEDs in the house and replaced them with halogens and incandescent bulbs.
It turned out that this is the most acceptable option for human eyes. The last place in the ranking of home lighting products was taken by LEDs and fluorescent lamps.
Here's what I found out during the benchmarking analysis:
- 1. The human eye perceives light spectra to varying degrees. Constant exposure to LEDs puts an undue strain on the eye muscles. In addition, the pupil dilates greatly.
- 2. After a long stay in the blue spectrum, it is more difficult for a person to fall asleep, he experiences sleep problems, gets tired faster, and his productivity decreases. TV and computer monitors act in a similar way. This is why it is more difficult for a person to fall asleep after watching a movie or TV program for a long time.
- 3. The greatest danger of LEDs is their short-wavelength range (0.88 - 17 microns). Because of this, vision quickly sits down, burns appear on the retina, cataracts form, and myopia forms.
- 4. The ripple coefficient also greatly exceeds all permissible values. As a result, vision deteriorates, the nervous system deteriorates.
- 5. The GOSTs clearly and clearly state how artificial lighting affects human life and health. The most dangerous lamps are blue spectrum LEDs, with a power of 15 watts or more. They are in the third risk group.
During our work, we were sometimes brought in lamps that were made more than three decades ago. I note that it was much more pleasant to work with them, which cannot be said about modern LEDs.
Soviet lamps had a stronger metal base and a longer service life. Most likely, the Union did not think and did not use the "effect of obsolescence", thanks to which all progress is moving today. As they say, they did it conscientiously.
In our time, the concept of "conscience", unfortunately, is no longer known to many. And who knew about him before, now they have forgotten for the sake of profit and money!
