This insidious fungal disease I identify by brownish marks that gradually capture the entire aerial part, including the fruit. I start the fight right away, since this type of infection is characterized by rapid spread.

The use of brilliant green against phytophthora is explained by the pronounced disinfecting properties of the drug. Even at a low concentration, a brilliant green solution disinfects damage, stops reproduction pathogenic microorganisms, has a detrimental effect not only on late blight, but also on other dangerous fungi.

I also use brilliant green for the prevention of infections, I lubricate the sections during pruning. If necessary, I use the drug as a fertilizer that compensates for the deficiency of copper. Systematic irrigation of tomato bushes with a solution based on brilliant green stimulates the development of ovaries.

In the treatment of Zelenka, it demonstrates high efficiency in the initial stages of the development of late blight. In order not to harm the landings, I observe the optimal proportions.

Processing time

I practice the first irrigation with Zelenka-based products when the seedlings reach a height of 6-10 cm. I repeat the procedure immediately after moving the seedlings to the ridges. When the plants adapt well, I process them again.

Then, for prevention, I irrigate when the first buds appear. I definitely practice therapeutic measures if I notice the first symptoms of late blight. For healthy bushes, I establish the order of procedures with an interval of 2 weeks.

Solution preparation

For preventive spraying, I use 1 drop of brilliant green per liter capacity of settled water. I repeat the procedure on average twice a month.

For therapeutic irrigation, I dilute 40 drops of the drug in a 10-liter container with water. If necessary, I perform activities several times.

In order to enhance the therapeutic effect, in a solution prepared from 40 drops of brilliant green and 10 liters of settled water, I introduce 10 Trichopolum tablets, ground into powder. If necessary, I apply this remedy every 10 days three times during the growing season.

In the greenhouse in the autumn season, when the crop is already harvested, I disinfect the soil, inventory and all structures with a solution, for which I take 50 ml of brilliant green for a 10-liter container of water.

For spraying, I choose the evening or morning hours, when dry weather sets in without wind. I use fine sprayers that do not allow liquid to accumulate on the leaves, which protects them from burns.
