Unfortunately, I got sick. I hope I have an ordinary ARVI, not Omicron, but in order not to re-infect my family, I turned on the bactericidal recirculator.
I bought a REMO Start recirculator immediately after a trip to Saratov to the REMO plant where they are produced.
Now such a recirculator is 1890 rubles to Ozone and 1811 rubles in Wildberries.
The principle of operation of the bactericidal recirculator is simple: the air from the room is driven past the ultraviolet lamp, with This radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nm kills various microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, mold, fungi, yeast, disputes).
It is very important that the lamp has the "correct" spectrum: there should be a peak at 253.7 nm (ultraviolet radiation with this wavelength penetrates well through water and the cell wall of a microorganism and leads to irreversible damage to DNA and RNA) and there should be no "hard ultraviolet" 160-240 nm (radiation in this range leads to the destruction of oxygen molecules and the release of atoms that attach to other oxygen molecules, forming harmful ozone).
Unfortunately, not all lamps that different manufacturers put in recirculators are "correct". There are even lamps that have almost no ultraviolet due to the wrong composition of the glass. It is impossible to determine the correct lamp in appearance or not, so most manufacturers put the lamps "at a guess". Only a few manufacturers of recirculators have spent quite a lot of money on UV spectrometers and make sure to check the lamps from every batch. REMO among them.
When I was at the plant, they measured the spectrum of the lamp installed in the Start recirculator in my presence.
Here is the spectrum: maximum at the required 253.7 nm, there is a small "hump" at 150 nm, because of this there is a faint smell of ozone, but only above the recirculator itself and this is not scary.
The recirculator is made simply and reliably. The body is entirely metal. Behind the grate, through which air is sucked in, is a sintepon filter. A spare filter is included.
Top - 80 mm fan (exactly the same as in computer cases and power supplies).
The case is assembled on tricky plastic caps (3 pieces were put in stock separately in a bag).
Wire length 1.1 meters.
The recirculator makes noise like an ordinary office computer (this is not surprising, because the fan is the same).
For an hour, the recirculator pumps 20 m³ of air. Thanks to the filter, the recirculator not only disinfects the air, but also cleans it of dust.
The recirculator lamp has a power of 9 W and a resource of 9000 hours.
The recirculator is recommended for small spaces, but can be used in rooms up to 100 m³. In a room with an area of 12 m² with a ceiling height of 2.5 m (air volume 30 m³), 90% bactericidal effectiveness is achieved after 1.5 hours, 99.9% after 4.5 hours. In a room of 20 m² (air volume 50 m³), 90% bactericidal effectiveness is achieved after 2.5 hours, 95% after 5 hours.
When a germicidal recirculator is constantly running in a room or office that different people enter, the likelihood of contracting coronavirus and other rubbish is significantly reduced.
I really hope that the recirculator will protect my loved ones from my infection.
