It happens that the modern interior looks faded and faceless. This is what makes it so standardized finishes and furniture. To add a spark, it is not at all necessary to run to the store, for example, behind coffee tables of unimaginable shapes or wallpaper in gaudy colors.
Designer Victoria Korotetskaya told what techniques are best avoided, and which ones should be taken into account if you want to diversify and individualize the interior.
Do not choose beige wallpaper
To avoid the routine, you should not choose beige wallpaper for the walls. Often the beige turns yellow, and the canvases look as if they have been hanging on the walls for more than one year and faded in the sun. It is very difficult to choose a shade that will look decent, especially in the case of wallpaper. It is necessary to carry out a fitting on the spot, take into account the lighting.
To enliven the interior, it is better to make one wall accent. In the living room, this can be the surface behind the sofa or next to the dining group, in the bedroom, the wall behind the headboard. To add color, it is not necessary to choose bright and flashy colors, for example, rich terracotta or deep green will do.
Add black color
Black elements give the interior a graphic look. With it, space acquires depth and volume.
The right shade will make the interior more elegant and expressive. Black looks especially advantageous in contrast with white.
Arrange furniture non-linearly
Furniture along the walls is one of the main signs of everyday life. The linear arrangement refers to the "grandmother's" repair and "European-style repair" of the 1990-2000s.
Such an interior will look flat and outdated. Of course, if the room is small, putting the sofa in the middle is unlikely to work.
Get rid of furniture walls
Another enemy of individuality is ready-made walls. With them, the interior will look like a picture from an old furniture catalog.
Headsets are not designed for the needs of a particular consumer - some sections may be unnecessary, while others, on the contrary, will be missed. So, most likely, the wall for the TV zone with a large set of all kinds of boxes will be empty or, on the contrary, will be filled with unnecessary rubbish, which it is high time to get rid of.
Buy vintage items
Vintage furniture and accessories can make the interior more memorable.
Adding rare items is dosed: the best effect can be achieved if you play on the contrast of old and new.
Break the kits
In modern design projects, it is rare to find furniture from one set. Sets bed + bedside tables, sofa + two chairs are a thing of the past and are no longer relevant.
