Yesterday I visited Smolensk and saw how LED light bulbs are produced there. This plant produces LED lamps for several brands and supplies them to Russia and Belarus, as well as to many European countries.
I went to two Smolensk factories, not as a blogger, but as a technical expert as part of a delegation that selects products for purchase. Until the last moment, I did not know whether it would be possible to film something and whether the plant management would allow it to be published, so I filmed little and “on the go”.
This plant produces LED lamps for several brands and supplies them to Russia and Belarus, as well as to many European countries.
I will show you the production steps. This workshop produces boards with LEDs and drivers. The automatic installer places the parts on the board.
After visual inspection, the boards are sent to the oven, where the LEDs and other components are soldered.
In another workshop, capacitors and wires are inserted into the boards.
Boards are placed in cases.
Further, the lamps are assembled and controlled by an automatic line.
After installing the base directly on the conveyor, the lamp turns on and if it does not light up, it is rejected.
This is where the markings are made with a laser.
Finished lamps are placed on the test line. Its tape moves very slowly and each lamp has time to work for several tens of minutes.
On the packaging line, the machine assembles the box, puts the lamp and instructions in it, and seals the box. The operator only has to put the packed lamps into large cardboard boxes.
I made a short video.

The plant has two production lines, which make not only "pear" lamps, but also "candles" and "balls".
Now the plant orders and purchases LEDs, parts, printed circuit boards, housings, plinths and shades, cardboard boxes and instructions. They solder the parts on the boards themselves, assemble and pack the lamps. In the near future, they plan to launch their own stamping of lamp shades.
As far as I know, there are only two factories in Russia producing non-filament LED lamps. The factory I visited yesterday is called "Bel Light" (it produces Bellight lamps and lamps of other brands), the second is the Uniel plant in Chernogolovka, which produces "Yarkaya" lamps.
