Description

Green at the beginning, ripening, they become bright red, glossy and shiny with a slight ribbing. The size of the fruit does not exceed 10 cm, and the weight can reach up to 150 g. Large specimens are thick-walled, 10-12 mm thick. The taste of Player pepper is sweet and fragrant, there is no bitterness in it.
Pepper Player is universal - it is equally good for canning, freezing, and fresh consumption. Fruits can be stored for a long time without losing taste.
The yield of a variety with good care can be up to 6 kg per 1 m².
Variety Player early ripe, from sowing seeds to harvesting fruits takes 3.5 months. Peppers bear fruit until frost.
The variety is resistant to diseases, but plants can be damaged by slugs, mites and aphids.

Sowing for seedlings
I consider February to be the best month for sowing seeds. Seedlings will have time to take root well and fully formed.
The seeds of the Player variety germinate well. I only buy from reliable suppliers. I inspect the seed material, reject the damaged ones and spray them with growth stimulants.
I buy soil for peppers in a store or cook it myself, mixing 2 shares of humus and one each of sand and compost.
- I pour the soil mixture into the box by two-thirds and make grooves 10-15 mm deep every 2 cm.
- I put the seeds in the grooves, sprinkle them with earth and water them.
- I cover the container with a film and put it in heat. The temperature should not be lower than 25-26 °C.
- When shoots appear, I remove the film and lower the temperature to 16-17 ° C.
- I water and ventilate the seedlings in a timely manner, and when 2-3 true leaves appear, I dive into separate cups.
Transfer
When the seedlings reach the age of 2-2.5 months, I plant them in a sunny, wind-protected place in loose, better sandy soil.
- I dig up the earth with the addition of 3-4 kg of compost per 1 m². I mark the holes every 40-50 cm.
- I transfer the bushes to the pits and sprinkle with earth, without deepening the root neck.
- I water the seedlings well.
Aftercare
Further care for peppers is regular watering and top dressing. For fertilizer, I use complex mineral dressing, which I apply with an interval of 2 weeks: after transplanting the peppers, when they begin to bloom and during the ripening of the crop.
