I'll tell you what's going on with me and why I started blogging again.

What's going on with me

When all the horror that continues to happen around began, I found it impossible to write something, because "When the guns speak, the muses are silent."

I would very much like the hostilities to end, but I realized that no one is better off because I do not write. If you continue to publish posts about technology, perhaps it will help someone, or at least simply distract from what is happening.

And now about what has already been done and what, I hope, will be done in the near future.

I got a room where Lamptest moved. Before the new year, the number of bulbs tested reached the round number of 4000. I planned to fix known errors on the site and in the database and write a post about the "anniversary" and the new "home" of Lamptest. I don't think it's time for anniversaries.

I planned to describe in detail the testing methodology and generally tell and show how I test light bulbs.

Now 4133 lamps have already been tested, I hope I can process the results, take photos and publish the data on the site. I tested all Leroy Merlin "candles", the new IKEA Solhetta (that's just who needs it now), many other lamps.

There will definitely be articles about the "golden" Navigator Supervision lamps and projectors with the iSvet IC driver.

Unfortunately, due to the current situation, the development of firmware for the "People's Ripple Meter" has been suspended, but the current firmware version works, measures correctly, and only the display on the screen is not as beautiful as planned. I promised to publish the assembly instructions and firmware and I will do it (hopefully next week).

A large number of batteries and accumulators have been tested, I hope I can make articles about this:

Tested 16 kinds of LR44 coin cell batteries;

Tested 11 kinds of 123A lithium batteries;

Tested 75 kinds of AA batteries and 74 kinds of AAA batteries;

Partially tested 5 types of 12v7ah batteries of the middle price range (all tests were done on the measuring stand, it remains to measure the operating time with the inverter and with UPS).

Now I bought five inexpensive chargers with QC 3.0, I will test them, choose the best one and publish the results.

Bought two good 100 watt solar panels. I plan to measure how much energy they really give in the sun in an ideal position, in the sun vertically behind a window pane, and also on a cloudy day.

I plan two articles not entirely about technology. The first is about Yaroslav Menshikov, the creator of the Yarostanmash device, with which I test batteries. The second is about the REMO Saratov plant (I was there almost a year ago, but I still couldn’t get around to making a report).

The fact that I write a blog about technology does not mean at all that I think that "everything is fine and we live as before." Of course, this is not the case, and there will be no humorous and entertaining content on the blog now.

I think that until hostilities are over, it is stupid to plan something and discuss what will happen in half a year or a year, but I hope that I will be able to do the materials about everything that I have listed today and publish.

Peace for everyone!
