The Red-Red variety is quite young, it is a new species bred by Russian breeders. Accordingly, for our country it is maximally adapted - it grows well in mid-latitude conditions, tolerant of cool summers, bears fruit well both in open beds and in closed greenhouses and greenhouses.

Due to interminacy, the tomato necessarily requires pinching, pinching and garters. The bush must be consciously adjusted in growth as much as possible, otherwise all its forces will be spent on growing stem (which calmly reaches 2 meters or more) and leaves, while the fruits themselves will be small and rare.

Advantages and disadvantages

Among the significant advantages of the variety, I can highlight the following qualities:

  • great fertility;
  • high taste score;
  • undemanding to care;
  • tolerance for temperature extremes and aridity;
  • tendency to long-term storage and transportation;
  • culinary versatility;
  • resistance to most common diseases and pests.

Along with the advantages, I will note a number of disadvantages:

  • sensitivity to soil composition;
  • mandatory regular feeding;
  • the impossibility of growing in regions with a long winter;
  • the lack of the possibility of independent harvesting of seeds.

Growing features

To grow the Red-Red variety, a seedling method is used; fragile planting material does not germinate in open soil. The sowing time in this case largely depends on the time of transfer to permanent beds, weather conditions and the geography of the region. On average, the period of readiness of seedlings takes 60 days, and gardeners are guided by this.

In the presence of a warmed greenhouse, seeds can be sown already in the first half of March, under normal conditions, germination begins at the border of March and April.

The soil of the hybrid requires light, loose and nutritious. Good composition:

  • peat;
  • garden land;
  • humus;
  • turf;
  • a small amount of clean sand;
  • wood ash;
  • fertilizers with potassium and phosphorus.

You can buy ready-made substrate in the store or make the mixture yourself. In the latter option, additional disinfection and calcination is necessary.

The containers for the variety should be medium, with the expectation of a mandatory lower drainage layer.

The process of seed preparation itself, their sowing in the ground and the germination of seedlings are carried out according to the standard scheme with a few additions:

  • the earth is covered in containers and watered abundantly a day before planting;
  • seeds are better to buy in the store;
  • hole depth 2 cm, between sprouts - 3 cm;
  • the variety does not tolerate water overflow;
  • picking is required, otherwise the root system will not develop to the desired size;
  • top dressing and hardening are obligatory;
  • landing even in greenhouse beds is carried out after the end of all frosts;
  • bushes planting scheme - a square with sides of 80 cm.

A variety in cultivation can be relatively more difficult than others, but an early, plentiful and tasty harvest compensates for the effort.
