Uprooting a stump is not an easy task. In rare cases, here you will be lucky enough to manage with the power of a pair of hands. Fortunately, there are ways to remove the stump without uprooting as such. The so-called "chemical" methods of uprooting come to the aid of summer residents. What are they?
1. We use saltpeter and urea
Urea, as well as potassium or ammonium nitrate will help get rid of an unnecessary stump. This method is used only when the stump can be burned. Reagents do not destroy the stump, but only radically increase the flammability of the tree. Saltpeter and urea are introduced into drilled holes with a diameter of 10-50 mm.
The location and number of holes depends on the size and position of the stump. The distance between the holes is 5-10 cm. The reagents are filled to the brim, after which they are poured with a small amount of water. Next, a wooden cork is driven into each hole. Now it remains to wait 1-2 years until the soil around the stump is filled with nitrogen-containing substances. When this happens, a fire is built around the stump and set on fire. Fire must be constantly controlled!
2. Copper and iron sulphate
Similarly, in holes with a diameter of 5-8 mm and a depth of 5-10 cm, copper or iron sulfate can be introduced instead of urea nitrate. Substances will suppress all vital activity in the stump. It will take at least 2 years. After the tree finally dies, it will be necessary to dig the stump with a shovel, overlay it with firewood and burn it in the same way. It is important to emphasize that it is forbidden to use vitriol if there are metal pipes next to the stump. It should also be borne in mind that all other plants will get it within a radius of 3-5 meters.

3. Salt
The easiest way, which is recommended to be used only as a last resort. Salt is added to the stump in a similar way to vitriol. An important advantage of this method is speed. Salt copes with the destruction of the tree in 1-2 months. The disadvantage of this method is that the land is not the place of the stump and around it risks becoming barren for decades! Therefore, this method should be used only where the construction or laying of the track will be carried out in the future.
