How to find water on the site to drill a well: a proven method used by our great-grandfathers

When it comes to drilling a well or a well on a property, finding water is the hardest part. I will share with you a simple and proven method that has been used in our family for several generations. If you didn't know about it before, remember it. Don't remember, then write it down!

The search for water begins with finding a suitable container. You need either 3-liter bottles, or pots of the same volume. The easiest way: take 5-liter plastic bottles and cut them just below the neck.

The containers are ready, you can start searching for water. Please note that this can only be done in dry weather. It is logical that if it rains or there is fog, the soil will be saturated with moisture. In this case, the search for water will not be successful.

  • Prepared containers must be dug into the ground about 10 centimeters. Bury them at intervals of 1.5 meters. It is done. Now wait!
  • It should take at least 8 hours, and preferably 12. It is best to leave the containers overnight. At dawn, as soon as the sun glimmers on the horizon, go see what happened.

I strongly recommend evaluating the results before sunrise. You will notice that some of the containers are foggy on the inside, while others are covered with droplets of moisture.

Where there was the most moisture in the containers, you can safely drill a well or dig a well.

Underground sources saturate the soil with moisture. Once again, I repeat that it is necessary to take the same containers. Only in this way will you achieve true results.

In the end, I will tell you about one more life hack from the past. Dig a few small holes in the area and leave them overnight. In the morning, fill the holes with the earth that you dug out of them.

If the pits are not filled to the brim, then the soil in this place is dry. Here you can build something, but not drill a well. If you get a small hill in place of the hole, the ground here is very wet. The area is suitable for a vegetable garden.
