For the experiment with the thermal destruction of weeds, I took a cheap building hair dryer for 989 rubles to try.
They promised 2000 W and 650 °, alas, these turned out to be only promises.
The label says funny "110V/60 Hz 220V/50Hz 2000W". Anyone who does not guess that two different models are produced with this label will be very surprised.
The following parameters are declared.
The hair dryer has two settings. On the first, with a network voltage of exactly 220 volts, the hair dryer consumes 730 watts, on the second - 1450 watts. Almost a third of the power was "missed".
In the first mode, the maximum temperature of the air leaving the hair dryer is 280°C.
In the second - 430°C. And they promised 650!
The experiment with thermal destruction of weeds failed - perhaps the temperature is low, or maybe it does not work very well at all.
