The Soviet Union tried to independently provide its population with everything necessary. Such a policy of "mercantilism" was associated with permanent US sanctions and their satellite countries, as well as the constant threat of a Third World War between capitalist and socialist bloc. Let, produced in the native spaces was not always of sufficient quality, and the assortment, to put it mildly, left much to be desired, it was its own and no one could take it away.
1. B-902
A joint creation of the Lviv Bicycle Plant and the Kharkov Bicycle Plant, which became the development of the B-901 model. It is considered the first motorbike of the Lviv enterprise. The model was produced from the period from 1958 to 1962.
2. MV-042 "Lvovyanka"
The first full-fledged moped, even despite the fact that according to the documents it was still called a motorbike. "Lvovyanka" was made at the already mentioned Lvov bicycle factory. The moped was driven by a 45 cc power unit with a return of 1.2 hp.
3. MV-044
Another moped created by the masters of the Lviv factory. In fact, a whole family of mopeds with different indices: 042, 043, 044, etc. The new models for the most part featured better engines and some "nice things". Specifically, the 44th rode on an engine with a return of 2 hp.
4. Spiriditis
The first model of a moped made at the Latvian factory "Sarkana Zvaigzne" in Riga. Spiriditis was born in 1958. The moped was driven by a power unit created under license from the notorious Jawa factory. The only problem was that the first pancake from the inhabitants of Riga came out lumpy.
5. "Riga-1"
If something didn’t work out for the residents of Riga, it’s all the other mopeds of Sarkan Zvaigzne. It is enough to look at the photo once to understand why Riga-1 is still considered the most beautiful Soviet moped. In the future, the design often left much to be desired. The only "problem" was that at first the residents of Riga did not have their own production of internal combustion engines, and therefore they installed Czech Jawa.
6. "Riga-26"
An extremely indicative model of a moped from the already mentioned family. A distinctive feature of the 26th was an incredible compactness. The moped could be folded so that it fit in a passenger car! True, at the same time, the moped weighed like a well-fed child or an undernourished girl - 50 kg.
7. Karpaty-2
Another iconic moped of the repeatedly mentioned Lviv plant, which appeared just before the collapse of the USSR in 1986. The model range of this vehicle included, in addition to the standard modification, two “special” ones, namely the improved “sport” and “luxury” models.

8. "Riga-5"
Moped "Sarkana Zvaygzne", in which there is not even a gram left of the elegance of the first "Riga". But the "five" was extremely easy to manage and maintain. The vehicle could not boast of any special dynamics, but it coped with its direct task. They produced a moped from 1966 to 1971.
9. "Riga-4"
The moped went on sale in 1970 and quickly gained popularity. An interesting feature of the four was that it was already a de facto motorcycle. True, Soviet designers went for a trick: the engine displacement was 49.9 cm3, which is why it was still not necessary to register a “moped” with the traffic police.
