Wooden furniture, floors, laminate and any other products made from the most environmentally friendly material are not immune from scratches and chips. The latter not only spoil the appearance of a wooden product, but can also disrupt its functionality. Therefore, each owner should keep in reserve several ways to solve the stated problems. Approaches can be both "professional" and "folk".
1. We remove chips with special means
We use wax. The best solution in the fight against chips is the use of special waxes. Specifically, in this case, we are interested in soft wax. This is sold in almost any hardware store. Looks like plasticine. Available in different colors. A little bit of manual work and the furniture will be almost as good as new. Before applying wax, the place of work must be thoroughly cleaned.
We use furniture putty. Another effective solution for eliminating chipped wood. We find the putty of the desired color, clean the place of work, dilute the composition, and then the matter remains small. After the composition dries, all excess is removed with sandpaper.
We use epoxy clay. Plasticine can be self-hardening and two-component. This method is good because it allows you to close up even the most serious chips on the tree. Before applying the composition to the damaged surface, the latter must be degreased and cleaned without fail. It is recommended to apply a furniture touch on top of the plasticine, of course, after the first has dried.
2. We remove chips with improvised means
We use a chopstick. Installing a wooden patch is a proven method over the years. The only problem is that it is not always possible to use a chopstick. Even if a fair portion of glue goes into the chip along with it.
We use sawdust and glue. Another traditional "folk" way to eliminate chips on a tree. We take PVA glue, sawdust and other dust. We mix all of the above in such a way that we get a composition that resembles porridge in its consistency. After that, we try to patch the damaged area. All excess is removed after complete drying.
3. We remove scratches with special tools
We use non-halo varnish. This remedy is most often sold in the form of a spray. It is easy to apply, dries quickly, and effectively eliminates most scratches. The only difficulty is to choose the right degree of gloss. Before using a non-halo varnish, be sure to read the instructions.
We use enamel. Almost any scratch can be repaired with a suitable enamel. It won't be hard to find her. To do this, just contact the hardware store for help. If the scratches are too deep, then a layer of primer will have to be applied before applying the enamel.
Use markers or strokes. In this case, we are not talking about stationery markers, but about special restoration ones. You can find these in hardware and furniture stores. The only difficulty is to choose the color of the marker. After applying a scratch to the place, all excess is removed from the tree with a piece of rag.

4. We remove scratches with improvised means
We use walnut. We rub the defective places with a peeled nut. This method is only suitable for situations where a scratch needs to be repaired urgently. In a few days, the cleavage site will most likely be exposed again.
We use tea or coffee. The logic is exactly the same as with the walnut. We take tea or coffee brew and rub it on the damaged area. You can’t count on a long-term effect, but if you need to “shamefully cover up” a scratch on an urgent basis, then for the first time the method will do.
We use WD-40. You can rub scratches with the well-known automotive compound WD-40. Of course, the defects on the tree will not disappear from this, but they will become less noticeable for a while. The method is suitable only for the most modest damage.
