The endoscope allows you to "look" into usually inaccessible places - cracks, sewer pipes, the insides of equipment. I bought and studied one of the cheapest endoscopes on Alixpress with a more or less decent picture, which can be connected to a smartphone or computer.
There are many different endoscopes on Aliexpress. This model can be recognized by its 8 mm diameter (others are 7, 9 or 10). The seller claims the camera resolution is 1080p, the real resolution is probably 640x480, but for endoscopy purposes this is enough.
The kit includes the endoscope itself, a mirror attachment to look at an angle of 90 °, two mounts - with a magnet and with a hook.
A hard cable allows you to direct the endoscope where you need it (with a soft cable it is almost impossible and the picture will always be "upside down" and the endoscope will look anywhere). For an endoscope with a specified cable length of 2 meters, the rigid part (from the remote control to the camera) has a length of 1.73 cm. The area from the remote control to the connector is soft.
The endoscope has 6 backlight LEDs.
Their brightness is regulated by a wheel on the remote control. Button - takes a picture.
A tricky connector with an adapter allows you to connect the endoscope to the USB connector of a computer, as well as to the MicroUSB and Type C connectors of a smartphone.
The minimum distance at which the image is in focus is 32 mm. The seller writes "best resolution distance: 5-10 cm", but in fact the camera has a focus from 32 mm to infinity.
The instructions suggest downloading the AN CAMERA application, but it does not work well - it crashes and the picture constantly freezes. The AN98 application works normally (available in the market). Other applications that support USB cameras (for example, FPViewer) work, but shooting at the touch of a button on the remote control may not work in them.
In high-resolution modes, it is better not to use the endoscope - when you move the camera, the picture is blurred, in addition, it cropped from the bottom - the aspect ratio of the camera matrix is 4:3 and when you select a resolution of 1280x720 or 1920x1080, the software simply crops "superfluous". As for the picture quality, it looks even better at 640x480.

If we consider the endoscope as a camera, then the picture is terrible. Here is my barn, filmed with an endoscope, in 1280x960 resolution.
He's in 640x480.
Regardless, when it comes to its intended use, it's not all that bad. Here, for example, is the contents of a desk drawer, taken through a small slit using an endoscope light.
I ordered an endoscope here (the very first option is 2m, 8mm Hard wire 1080P). Although there is no smell of 1080p or 720p here, the endoscope copes with its task and allows you to examine objects through narrow slots and holes.
