There's a new addition to Meizu's shelf of smart gadgets. The company has set its sights on creating a competitor for the Mi Band 2, proven by thousands of buyers, and introduced its own fitness tracker called Meizu Band, previously known from announcements under the name Meizu H1.
The device is an almost exact copy of the Mi Band, but with an updated, more interesting design. The “smart” part of the accessory is integral with the bracelet - this is how the problem of losing a tracker is solved in an original way.
However, if the bracelet is damaged, it will not be possible to replace it. But Meizu prepared for this by making the bracelet from better materials. It is so thick and made of such high-quality material that you will sooner replace the tracker itself before noticing damage to the bracelet.
Since this is Meizu's first fitness accessory, H1 has basic functionality for this class of devices: counting steps, heart rate, calories and sleep monitoring, as well as notifying the user about events on the smartphone. To do this, Meizu H1 has a single-color OLED display, which displays the time when there are no notifications.
Like the more popular analogue from Xiaomi, the new Meizu product is protected according to the IP67 standard: dust and moisture protection, and with it you can dive to a depth of up to 3 meters. The manufacturer promises that the bracelet will be able to work without recharging for at least 15 days.
Despite the obvious focus of the gadget for Android devices, iOS users will also be able to use it. Moreover, Meizu Band is offered in China for 40 US dollars.
