This review will focus on the extended version of Jumper EZPad 6, based on the Apollo lake N3450. EZPad 6 Pro and its modification 6S Pro are devices from the 2-in-1 series, in which combines the capabilities of a Windows tablet and a portable laptop, with an 11.6” display and removable physical keyboard. The Jumper EZPad 6 Pro stands out among other budget models of this type, thanks to the M.2 slot on the board, as well as good performance combined with a very attractive price.
Packaging, accessories
The standard delivery package is extremely laconic: the black box contains a tablet PC, a power supply and a short user manual. The contents of the box are tightly secured using additional protective packaging made of polyethylene foam - a material that is shock-absorbing, moisture-resistant and impact-resistant properties.
Appearance
Judging by the tactile sensations, the body of the EZpad 6 Pro is made of plastic, with a texture pleasant to the touch. In general, the build quality is not satisfactory. However, if the tablet is often transported in a bag with keys and other hard objects, the surface of its case will soon become covered with scratches. By the way, the problem is easily solved by purchasing a protective cover.
Almost immediately, the wide frames on the front side of the case, typical of budget tablets, catch your eye. On the top frame there is a front camera with a resolution of 2 MP. There can be no question of high quality shooting - the camera is suitable exclusively for video communication. In the central part of the bottom frame there is a touch button with the Windows logo.
On the back panel you can find a small oval-shaped protrusion that looks like a platform for the main camera module. In fact, there is the logo of the line of 2-in-1 hybrid devices - EZpad.
On the top edge on the right side there is a dual volume rocker and a mechanical button for power/lock control.
Interfaces, connectivity
Almost all classic tablets are significantly inferior to laptops in terms of the variety of external interfaces. With hybrid devices, which include the EZpad 6 Pro, the situation is somewhat different, since, in Unlike conventional tablets, they have wider capabilities for connecting peripherals equipment.
This model has a separate input for an external power supply. Accordingly, during charging, all three USB connectors (MicroUSB 2.0, Type-C 2.0 and full-size USB 3.0) remain free. The user can easily connect several devices to the laptop at the same time (for example, a USB mouse, a smartphone and an external hard drive). In addition, a Micro HDMI interface is provided, thanks to which you can broadcast images from your tablet PC to an external monitor or TV screen.
DC-IN, USB and HDMI connectors are located on the left side of the case, next to the speaker grille and LED indicator.
The right side edge is occupied by a 3.5 mm headphone/microphone jack and a slot for installing Micro SD cards. There is also a hole for the built-in microphone and a second speaker grille.
Keyboard dock
The extended configuration includes a proprietary docking station (without a built-in battery), which is connected to the device via two powerful magnets. Contacts and connection holes can be found on the bottom edge of the tablet body. It is worth clarifying that the keyboard dock for the EZpad 6 and its Pro version are not interchangeable due to differences in the features of the fastening mechanism.
When you connect the docking station, the tablet actually transforms into a full-featured netbook, with a physical island-style keyboard, a small touchpad, an additional full-size USB port, and an adapted OS interface for working in Desktop mode.
Initially, there are no Russian letters on the keys. This defect can be corrected using special stickers (the easiest and most affordable way to add Cyrillic characters), or through laser engraving. Considering the cost of the device, you can’t count on backlit keys.
Sound
The built-in stereo speakers demonstrate acceptable sound quality, however, they do not have a high volume reserve. In noisy environments, you may need to use headphones. In the absence of extraneous noise, the volume reserve is quite enough for comfortable viewing of movies and videos within a small room.
The maximum volume threshold is often limited by factory settings. However, experienced users can easily bypass such restrictions using software audio amplifiers. Please be aware that excessive loads on speakers can cause sound distortion and, in the long term, negatively affect the life of your audio equipment.
Display
The laptop uses an 11.6-inch diagonal widescreen display with FullHD resolution (1920 x 1080). Thanks to the high-quality IPS matrix, natural color reproduction and good viewing angles are ensured: even with significant tilts, color inversion is almost invisible. Backlight brightness values suitable for comfortable indoor work vary between ~25–50%, depending on the intensity of the external light source. For outdoor use, you will need to set the brightness to 75-100%.
The touch screen panel recognizes up to 10 touches simultaneously, the touchscreen accurately processes all touches and gestures. However, a very thin, almost invisible protective film is glued to the display from the factory. Due to the lack of a high-quality oleophobic coating on the film, there is insufficient smoothness of the finger sliding over its surface. If desired, the film can be removed, having previously taken care of an alternative solution to protect the glass from scratches.
operating system
The device comes with pre-installed Windows 10 OS, with Russian and English language packs. A licensed, activated version of the software is used. In other words, the user receives a device that is ready for use out of the box. The operating system interface automatically adapts for use in both landscape and portrait orientations. DualBoot, i.e. The ability to switch between Windows and Android is not provided in this model.
Hardware platform, performance
Jumper EZPad 6 Pro is equipped with a 4-core Intel Celeron N3450 processor based on the Apollo Lake platform. The chipset operates at frequencies from 1.1 GHz to 2.2 GHz, and is complemented by an integrated Intel HD Graphics 500 graphics core. Intel Celeron N3450 is a budget single-chip system, however, it significantly surpasses the Atom X5 in terms of performance z8300/z8350 – fairly common SoCs based on the Cherry Trail platform, used in hybrid tablets, transformers and mini-PCs entry level.
In addition, the Celeron N3450 is complemented by a dual-channel DDR3L memory controller with an impressive amount of RAM (6 GB). As a result, the device demonstrates a decent level of performance and also performs well in terms of multitasking. EZPad 6 Pro easily copes with a large number of open tabs in the browser, great for working with office software and databases, viewing 4K video, image editing, audio processing and other tasks for which relatively inexpensive laptops.
The Jumper EZPad 6 Pro is not a gaming solution. At the same time, the power of the built-in graphics subsystem is quite enough to run games released before 2007 (for example, GTA: San Andreas). The laptop can also run simple modern games like Asphalt 8 without any problems. By setting all graphic settings to minimum, you can even play World of Tanks, with a frame rate of 30-40 FPS.
Memory
Operating system files, programs and user data are located in the internal eMMC storage with a capacity of 64 GB. At first glance, there isn't much free space left. However, the device is equipped with a slot for installing a MicroSD memory card up to 256 GB, and also supports connecting external HDD/SSD drives. For the test, a 2 TB hard drive was connected to the tablet via a high-speed USB 3.0 interface. The system easily recognized the external HDD, without connecting additional power.
In addition, the motherboard has an M.2 (NGFF) connector for installing an SSD. The interface is compatible with M.2 drives of form factors 2242 and 2260, up to 512 GB. It is noteworthy that the EZPad 6S Pro modification is initially equipped with a built-in 64 GB SSD solid-state drive, in addition to an eMMC memory module.
Autonomy
Compared to its predecessor, the Pro version received an increased battery capacity of up to 9000 mAh. Tests show that a fully charged battery lasts an average of 5 hours of moderately intense use. The operating scenario includes viewing web pages, YouTube videos and listening to music. By activating the power saving mode, as well as reducing the screen brightness to the minimum acceptable level, you can achieve even longer battery life.
To replenish the charge level, a special connector is provided, to which a powerful 12V adapter is connected, ensuring the fastest and most efficient charging of the battery.
Note! You should not attempt to charge the EZPad 6 Pro via USB ports (including Type-C). This can lead to equipment failure and other unforeseen consequences!
Wireless interfaces
The built-in network adapter provides access to the Internet and local wireless network via Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The Wi-Fi signal is within normal limits, the antenna sensitivity is good, the connection is not lost during operation. The Bluetooth protocol version 4.0 is supported, the operation of which also does not pose any problems.

Review results
Due to the sufficiently productive “stuffing”, support for an attached keyboard with a touchpad, the presence of full-size USB ports and a slot for installation internal SSD, as well as thanks to the ability to duplicate/expand the image to an external monitor, the Jumper EZPad 6 Pro is no longer perceived as ordinary tablet. Rather, it's a portable, more affordable alternative to entry-level laptops and ultrabooks. And finally, unlike classic tablets and laptops, 2-in-1 hybrid devices support instant transformation of the form factor, in accordance with the user’s current tasks.
