Xiaomi has released its third virtual reality headset with the prosaic name Mi VR Play 2. The new product will occupy an intermediate position and will replace the Cardboard version from Xiaomi.
In fact, the new product is the Chinese vision of Google's new headset. Moreover, both externally and functionally, since it is supposed to work only with smartphones company, and the proprietary MIUI VR application, launched automatically. True, unlike DayDream, the new product has a significantly lower cost (and Xiaomi smartphones are more profitable than Pixel).
Of course, Mi VR Play 2 is not an Oculus clone at all - it is a headset for a smartphone. For a more pleasant use, it is covered with fabric. There is no controller included in the package, and there is not a single button on the helmet itself (the only one is used to access the compartment in which the smartphone is located).
An advantageous difference from analogues will be the extremely low cost of the new product. It's currently available at our Gearbest.com store for just $24!
