Last year, UMI introduced the flagship smartphone UMIDIGI S2: another clone of the Samsung S8 in a metal case - but with a huge battery. It's time for an update: Gearbest is launching an updated version of the frameless flagship UMIDIGI S2 Pro with a Helio P25 processor.
The main advantage of UMIDIGI S2 Pro is the 6-inch IGZO matrix from Sharp with a modern 18:9 aspect ratio. It occupies 90% of the front surface of the smartphone - this is the maximum figure for today. The display resolution is 1440 x 720 pixels - sufficient and economical. The screen is protected by modern Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The screen is mounted in a rigid metal case, made from a single piece of metal using milling. The antennas do not protrude beyond the body and are made flush with the main part of the back cover. The cameras also do not protrude, and there is a small recess under them for the fingerprint scanner.
The UMIDIGI S2 Pro processor uses MediaTek Helio P25 with a frequency of up to 2.3 GHz. Performance is complemented by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash memory. The smartphone supports expanding internal memory using microSD cards up to 256 GB.
The multimedia capabilities of the UMIDIGI S2 Pro are also quite good. The main camera is dual, combining a 13-megapixel main module with a Sony IMX258 sensor and a 5-megapixel auxiliary module. The front camera is 5 megapixels.
The manufacturer promises that UMIDIGI S2 Pro will work for more than 2 days when fully loaded - and for good reason. The fact is that the smartphone battery has a capacity of 5100 mAh. Of course, with such a capacity you cannot do without fast charging. And it is here - MediaTek Pump Express.
Other features of the frameless smartphone UMIDIGI S2 include: 2 SIM cards with support for all LTE bands; support for wireless interfaces Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n); there is FM radio, GPS and GLONASS; USB Type-C 2.0 is used for charging and communication with a computer.
The dimensions of the UMIDIGI S2 Pro are a modest 158.1 x 74.6 x 8.8 millimeters. Thus, a 6-inch smartphone fits into the dimensions of a compact branded 5.5-inch device. True, the weight corresponds to the real diagonal - 186 grams.
