On the Indian logistics website Zauba, information has appeared about a certain smartphone based on the advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor.
According to available information, it will be designated MSM8998 (the Snapdragon 820 processor is indexed MSM8996) and will be produced using 10-nanometer technology.
The Snapdragon 830 processor will be equipped with Kryo 200 cores and a powerful Adreno 540 graphics controller. The built-in X16 LTE modem will provide a maximum speed of 980 Mbps when downloading data. There is talk of support for LPDDR4X memory.
The prototype of the smartphone, spotted in the Zauba database, carries 4 GB of RAM on board. There is also talk of a flash module with a capacity of 64 GB.
According to available information, the announcement of the Snapdragon 830 chip may take place before the end of this year. However, the first devices on this processor will most likely be presented only in the first half of 2017.
At the moment, the Snapdragon family tops the ranking of the most powerful mobile processors, second only to the new Apple chip used in the iPhone 7. That is why the ranking of the fastest smartphones now looks like this (however, the Apple device has taken first place):
