The thickness of the foundation wall
It is believed that the foundation should be wider than, or at least the same as the wall of the house. This is not true, as the main element of the foundation is cast tape at its base, and wherein the width to be calculated to a fully transfer the load from the house to the ground without subsidence and foundation wall - a structure in which, and will be the future walls.
In all three versions the figure - the foundation of the same quality! In the first case - the concrete is poured into the excavated trench (preformed) - savings are achieved through the method formless, but uses more concrete due to wall thickness!
Variant №2 - the most common of the represented. Poured in two stages: first the basic cast tape, then the foundation wall - as a basis for the construction of walls.
Option №3 - rarely used, but few had seen with their own eyes. In small houses savings of about 4-5 cubic meters. meters of concrete, and it is about 17 -.. 25 thousand rubles, and also there is a place for warming without a strong projection of the plinth. The protruding member (flange) of a height of about 7-10 cm. and can be executed in two variations. Option a) - it is widely used in private construction. The organization works in two stages: first of all filled with a monolithic tape, the second action is set formwork and poured the foundation wall, etc. - dismantling of formwork and backfilling.
Option b) - Excavation made with the broadening of the base of the foundation, usually trimmed with a bayonet spade, after the organization of the main trench. It applies only in the case if the ground allows you to work without showering, to comply with the necessary foundation bearing area on the ground.
This variant b) times cheaper work than a), but slightly increased flow rate of concrete mix (about 2-3 cubic meters) due to the chamfered corners. Filling is done directly in the ground.

One should understand that to save a substantial amount on a quality foundation still does not work, otherwise it will result the detriment of quality, but the fines may be provided, for example by wrapping shuttering boards in the film for further use))).
But I would not recommend to save on the fixture!
In my case, I first saw the foundation itself, then in order to cross-check himself hired the designer for this calculation, and it cost me only 2,500 rubles. Our calculations have converged, and I am satisfied!
